We have been to this location 3 times. 5/7 of us in our family have food allergies. The staff at Wu’s house cooks our food in the kitchen due to said allergies. However, the first time of visiting, it took 3 tries to get steak fried rice for my daughter made with gluten free soy sauce and no butter. The staff are not knowledgeable about food allergies. The manager came over to ensure our food would be made correctly when it was not. Nothing on our meal was comped. It took me going to the bar to ask for an alcoholic drink my mother in law ordered in order to get it because asking our waiter 3 times for it didn’t work. It was my mother in law’s birthday. On our second visit, it took two tries for several of our meals (shrimp fried rice) to be made correctly. Again, made in the kitchen. Again, nothing comped, no apologies. Wait staff aren’t attentive. Had to ask several times for drinks and refills. The third time and last time we went was yesterday. We had a party of 8. We were unable to order fried rice from the kitchen for 4 of the 8 of us in the party because we were sitting at a hibachi table. Isn’t that the point of going to such a place and ordering hibachi? To watch the show? They refused to serve us, they refused to allow substitutions for allergies (no noodles, more rice). They demanded that even though our meals would need to be made in the kitchen due to our allergies that we order high priced hibachi meals or leave the hibachi area. We spoke to a manager about all the above issues when being told we must leave the hibachi table. They didn’t care. We were there for our friend’s 84 birthday and wanted to watch the show, they didn’t care. I would not recommend even trying this place after the treatment we received. Not to mention how loud it is. It was difficult to even communicate with those at our table and the staff due to the excessive noise created...
Read moreBeing told to "pick around your mushrooms" if you do not want them will get you a 1 star in my book. I followed up by asking "what if i had an allergy" and was answered with no answer. The waiter seemed confused by this question. Mind you, we were THE ONLY 2 customers in the hibachi section at the time. I question their ability to accommodate allergies. What sort of practices do they have in the kitchen where i cannot simply remove a certain vegetable?
The building is beautiful. Decorated, large and very nice.
The bar is very small given the size of the restaurant. Drinks took a while to come out.
Our menu or table had a very stale sanitizer smell to it. Couldn't figure out what it was, but it was not enjoyable.
Service was enough to get by, not the worst, not the best. It was our first time in and there was ZERO explanation regarding their VERY LARGE menu. Some guidance would have been nice.
Their birthday celebrations are so loud. I had to wait for them to stop their song to order my dinner because my waiter could not hear me, and i was screaming my order at him. Just not ideal for a dining setting.
Our chef did good. The food was good. The portion size was good. My only issue here, is the table that came in after us received an entire different show. Their table was lit on fire, lights were dimmed, things were thrown. Our chef did not do any of those things. He simply slapped some spatulas around and called it a day.
I found it odd that there were so many staff members just lounging around. In the waiting area, in the hibachi area.
Finally, an 18% service charge added to the check, for a party of 2. I understand needing to pay your staff, but i would expect them to go a little more above and beyond, given the fact they are getting an 18% tip minimum.
Ill continue to go to my normal hibachi spot, a few miles north...
Read moreI wish you’d leave half stars, because this is a 2.5 star place. We visited this place last night for my boys birthday. We got the hibachi experience.
The place is huge and really busy and loud. If you’re looking for a relaxing meal, this is not your place.
At first, they welcome you in a large reception area, almost like checking in at a busy hotel. We had a reservation and got the thing that vibrates when your table is ready.
They grouped together with the other hibachi customers and brought us to the hibachi room.
It’s a large room with over 20 hibachi stations. The room is huge, loud and inviting for a fun experience.
Here’s what to say about the place:
The Pros: The place is fun. Like in most hibachi, you expect fun and you get it. Our cook was fun and skillful. The menu is quite diverse, as you’d expect in any Asian restaurant. There are plenty hibachi options. They will give you tons of food. You wont finish it. Maybe none has.
Service is overall OK. Our waitress took forever to take our drinks and food order, but once he got up to speed, it was in general ok.
The Cons: Food quality is below average for the price you pay. Expect to pay all-in $80/head with service included. We got mixed feelings about the food. To make it tasty they abused of oil and spices. Of course, you don’t go to a hibachi for a healthy meal…
Summary: it’s an ok place for a one-time hibachi visit. It’s huge and fun. Inviting to have a good time. Don’t come with huge expectations for a great meal, cause you’re getting quantity over quality. You’ll pay an expensive dinner for the food you get… take it as an amusement park ticket. Fun with...
