Iām writing in regards to an appliance package deal that was all over Home Depot adds in May. We just had our 3rd child and were so excited to have a working dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, and microwave for all these dishes/bottles a family of 5 goes through. Well every month they have delayed it with an automated message to tell us it will be delayed, not even a person to talk to, to explain why. Mind you, the messages would come a day before delivery, so we had already cleaned the refrigerator and freezer out just to get another monthly disappointment. We have received 7 or 8 of these now. When we call to complain, we wait for hours on end. As a teacher trying to teach remote right now, I donāt have hours to get no answers from management. Finally, tonight as I am scrolling through social media, I see Home Depot has Whirlpool package deals again for Black Friday!?? They are a scam, because they do not end up delivering! After another 2 hour customer service wait time. The woman I talked to tonight from whirlpool said the microwave is not even being created and the package wonāt ship unless all are available. So I asked Home Depot if I can just get whatās in the store. She said, āno it must be delivered from whirlpool.ā I asked her what deal Home Depot can give us to make this right and she said they can not offer a deal until the delivery has been made. Yet, they just delayed it until Jan. How long must we wait? We even were willing to take the microwave that was back ordered off the order so it could ship. Sure enough it was delayed again, even after told it would work! 1 of the hours on hold ended with their employees fighting while I was on the line, completely unprofessional. A scam! So once it is delivered, if we donāt like their ādeal,ā it will be on our pocket to return deliver it? This is outrageous for a $297.13B company to be scamming tired moms who just want to have working appliances! I hope this story can help others choose alternate places to shop and large companies to stop pushing adds they can not deliver, literally. Thanks for listening to my rant, Happy Holidays and New Year ahead!! ā¤ļø Maybe one day our appliances will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy father recently stopped by Home Depot to grab a part for a project he was working on. He approached an associate and asked for directions to a specific part. She pointed him down an aisle and around a corner, but when he got there, the part wasn't where she said it would be.
When he returned to the area where he had spoken with the associate, he was surprised to find her with an attitude. She insisted she had directed him to go outside, which she hadn't. When he tried to explain, she walked away from him mid-conversation. He caught up with her to express this, but she covered her name badge and walked off.
Feeling unheard and disappointed, he decided to speak with a manager named Isaac to address the issue. Unfortunately, his response was less than empathetic. He brushed off his concerns and even seemed annoyed by his feedback. Isaac's response was, "Don't tell me how to do my job." He simply showed him where the part was, without acknowledging the poor customer service from the associate.
Throughout the interaction, both the associate and Isaac demonstrated a lack of quality customer service, which was surprising and disappointing given Home Depot's reputation for excellent service. Their behavior fell short of the standards we would expect, leaving my dad feeling undervalued as a customer.
My dad is someone who has been a loyal Home Depot customer over the years, he has a credit card, built my deck with products from this store, and always selects Home Depot over competitors. They market themselves as #1 in quality products and customer service. This experience has made me question whether his patronage is truly appreciated. Something should be done to rectify this, it leaves a bad taste in our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was scheduled for a delivery and installment of a washer a bought. When the delivery team pulled up I sense a dread looked in his face. I assumed it was because of the stairs so I offered for them to go through the garage because through the doors is my laundry room he seemed a little better but still something was off. There is 3 stairs to the laundry room and he kept offering to just deliver to my garage and I said no because I paid for installment. Then he said there was a leak so they couldnāt install they could only deliver. I asked if I could call Home Depot and ask about a refund he said I couldnāt because he could not wait I can have it delivered to my garage or he could say I refused. I was on the phone with Home Depot when he just left. Home Depot was just as dismissive about my concerns and I just said can it just be delivered and I will have someone else install and they said no because the washer door was defective. I was confused because they told me it was about a leak and was willing to just leave in my garage. It took almost an hour of being on the phone for them to say it wasnāt defective but now they cannot deliver until 2 weeks later but online if I place a new order it can be delivered in 4 days. I asked to file a complaint and each member was extremely dismissing and did not want to accommodate me. I had to just cancel and order a new one with Best Buy. I just donāt like being treated like Iām not a person. There should be some sort of level of respect with customers no...
