Sea Monkey Tavern & Grill — Restaurant in Naples

Came here with my fiancé from out of town, expected a positive experience. We were not greeted by anyone at the entrance. The music was obnoxiously loud rap music and more akin to latenight dive bar, not what I would expect from the pictures on google. Upon wondering in further, we were met by a very rude standoffish redheaded woman sizing us up and down with a snear expression. I asked if she had worked there and she answered back "Yea" with a Snide tone and continuing to size us up and down with out offering any help or anything of substance,"so just sit anywhere I guess?" "Yea" she replied before turning her back to us and walking off. Well, that was pretty rude my fiancé and I thought. We weren't seated more than 15 seconds before deciding to take our bussiness elsewhere. If you are a couple or family, I couldn't recommend more from staying clear of this place. Had dinner with two other couples on 7/30/22, for a total of six people and everything from the service, atmosphere and food was extremely disappointing. The waitress was kind but unprepared, the speaker directly above our heads was at or about it’s maximum level, the tables were to small and the food was served in fast food type plastic baskets. Let’s talk about the $14.00 bowl of clam chowder served in at paper to go style container and plastic spoons, , the Cheese Quesadillas resembled a grilled cheese sandwich made by elementary school children and the double cheeseburgers that could have been rung out due to the grease oozing from them. To top it off we asked for three separate checks and two of the three were wrong. My check was for 1 cheeseburger, 1 kids chicken finger, 1 bowl of clam chowder and 2 Bud lights, final total $63.00. Burger imo is better all the way around then Brooks Burgers or even Ginos at Celebration Park. Staff is part of the Minos crew so they're well trained. Hear the hogfish sandwich is one to try, and that's what I'll get next time for sure. However pair it with the tots, FRENCH FRIES are as average as a bowl of grits. Touchtunes jukebox wasn't connected or being recognized in the system. Hope they correct that, I love places that offer it like Liki Tiki. The fries are the only thing that kept this trip at a 4.75 for me. Now some positive points over last group (The Parrott) that was here. The stench of smoke is gone. Flie & mosquitoes are non existent like before. Place just has a much better cleaner feel to it.
