DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!
After driving 8 hours to this hotel, we were hoping for more than to be told that our room was sold to someone else. We booked a room at this hotel for the weekend and prepaid for it. We were driving from quite far to get there and wouldn’t be getting there until late in the morning after midnight, so we had called ahead to make sure our room would not be cancelled. They told us that was completely fine and not to worry about it. But when we finally arrived at 3am they told us that they sold our room to someone else and wouldn’t have a place to stay. AGAIN we had called ahead to tell the that we would be coming at this time and they said that it was ok. They even had a note saying we’d be there after midnight so they didn’t cancel. They said that it was okay though because out of the niceness of their hearts, we could sleep on the massage chairs IN THE PUBLIC LOBBY and they would refund us because they are so accommodating. We were not receiving the room we had already paid for, so of course, they would be refunding us. We had to spend about 30 minutes to an hour calling other hotels to try and find a room because other hotels were booked, and the front desk guy who obviously didn’t care he had sold our room decided not to walk us. He told us though that he’d speak to the manager, and we’d be receiving a refund later that morning when the manager came in. We finally found a new hotel, and thank goodness because the location of this hotel is so far from everything, and it honestly looks really run down.
After the weekend was done, the refund had not come through still, so we had to drive BACK to the hotel and talk to another employee who, although was more apologetic, was just as helpful. He scanned my ID and card to directly refund me without having to go through Expedia. He said he would be able to get us the refund later that day when the manager came in.
Monday arrived, and I got a call from a manager saying we needed to reach out to Expedia for the refund… whatever. I contacted Expedia and FINALLY got a refund started.
Even then, I didn’t get refunded for the travel insurance and had to pay more for the other hotel when this hotel didn’t compensate me for the inconvenience or the time wasted having to TRACK down a refund. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel and would highly suggest others avoid this hotel. The employees are not on the same page at all, and at the end of the day, they all avoided accountability because they sold our room, which means I’m out money and they still got theirs. The least they could do is pay the difference, but they didn’t even take the chance to truly apologize and offer any sort of compensation to...
Read moreThe staff is horrible. I arrived and walked in and thought someone was in line at the front desk, so I waited several feet back. The guy behind the desk looked at me and then turned to the person in front of me and kept talking. After a bit, I realized it was their security guy. I still waited patiently. The front desk staff never spoke to me or greeted me. I said I was checking in, after they’d finished their conversation, and I gave the man my name. He spoke over me and asked for my name. I gave it to him again and handed him my ID, which he didn’t want. He asked me for a card to pay nearly $20 for parking when I had specifically booked a free parking hotel. It was a bit late and I’d had a hell week, so I just asked to cancel my reservation once he made it clear I’d have to pay. He told me to go ahead and call the booking company and cancel. I specially asked if he would approve the cancellation or who the booking company needed to reach out for that approval and he said he would and gave me his name. Not five minutes later, the booking company stated this same man refused to allow the cancellation. I walked back in and patiently waited in line. Once I was next, I asked him if he received the call and he just went off, yelling and not letting me speak at all. He accused me of claiming he was the owner or something like that and he said he never agreed to cancel the reservation. By this point, others were waiting to check in behind me. I tried to show him proof it was supposed to be free parking, he told me to get out. I had already paid for the room. I chatted with the booking company and showed them proof it was supposed to be free parking and they credited me. He did let me check in but when I stated I was credited for the parking, he said he wasn’t going to waste his energy explaining the parking to me. I told him he shouldn’t have told me I could cancel from the beginning if he wanted to save everyone’s energy. Why lie? I clearly am going to want my $100 room fee back if I don’t check in. The guy only became loud and aggressive when several other men were around and he legit told me and my young daughter we could park down the street and walk at nearly 11pm in this neighborhood. Two very nice young men told us both there’s no way that is at all safe in this location of Nashville. A budget inn with security should clue him in this isn’t a safe area. I’m going to take the man’s advice and speak to his manager tomorrow, he offered me her card without being prompted. I’ll take my review down if she wants to credit me for parking considering how rude that man was. I really should have recorded him because he agreed to cancel the reservation almost...
Read moreWonderful stay. This place was a little more price wise but had the best reviews. We were not disappointed! Staff were very friendly. Great location. To the right pulling out, you are in walking distance of many restaurants and some clubs. We ate at a Mexican Restaurant within a block. You pay $20.00 to park but they have visible security and cameras. Beds were comfy for a hotel. They had a pillow top mattress cover which helped a lot, but they were still starting to sag. Overall not bad. Room was extremely clean! The restroom literally shined! Only tiny thing I noticed was the start of rust around the tub drain. Fixtures were very modern as was the room itself. It had a low entry tub with a pop out rounded shower curtain bar giving you more room to shower. I LOVED the shower. The large shower head came out of the top of the ceiling directly in the middle of the tub! It was like showering in the rain as the hot water flowed all over you evenly! It was a bit slippery even with the textured tub bottom, but there was a grab bar. Had to stand on the edge of the outer stream and tip head back to rinse hair without getting soap in my eyes though. Room smelled clean without the use of fragrances! Really enjoyed the made to order omelet bar! The breakfast area and lobby are decorated with life size pics of country singers. There was even a mock stage for a photo opp. Only glitch was it was pretty warm trying to eat. But eating area is close to front doors. We didn't partake, but there are also two free full body massage chairs. They sanitize and close them after a certain time at night. There was a Fooze Ball table and small game area too. Elevator doors are decorated, and there are metal guitar sculptures/pics adding to the charm. In the lobby there is a iced tea/lemonaid/ water machine. There is also a cappuccino/hot chocolate/coffee machine. However when I tried to get coffee it dispensed a lot of grinds too. So I just got a cup in the breakfast area or in my room. Was able to hear some of the louder road noises and loud and walking in the hallways. So, had a few minor hiccups, but I...
