If you like privacy and quiet, this is not for you.
Pros: Location Lobby & pool areas are nice to hang around as long as you don't mind being around other people
Room was a little small & squeezy but decent and comfy enough to sleep in Feels not value-for-money for the price you paid for a budget motel (plus parking fees too) for weekdays off peak season but reasonable considering the location Our fridge was nice and cold :)
Now for the Cons:
Pests: checked in, found a huge fly and a few small fleas/bugs flying around in the room. Managed to ignore them. BUT upon check out, saw a huge cockroach darting across the parking lot right outside guest rooms, dont know where it came from exactly. Hopefully not mine.
Noticed a couple fries on the floor from the previous occupants. Next day housekeeping came tidied the bed but those were still there. Yikes. The carpet was dark color and the fries were bright yellow/orange, too obvious to be missed.
Took a shower one morning and hot water was really hard to come by. Almost gave up and resigned to fate of cold shower. Also no plug for the drain so don't hope for a soak. Bathroom door was kind of weird too, have to use the trash bin to hold it in place.
Staff: Noticed mixed reviews from other guests. Here's what we experienced: Check in: staff jeered/made snide remark at my (colored) buddy as they fumbled with the payment gadgets. Not cool for first impression with guest. We didn't say anything. Staffs are noticeably all inndians, no big deal but Noticed some curt but not rude interactions (from front desk and breakfast crew), but also some polite interactions especially towards white guests. Weird huh
Lack of privacy: Seems like there are always people (staff & their community?) hanging around right outside the corridor if your room is on the ground floor facing the parking lot so any moment you open the door people can see what's going on inside.
Breakfast is hit or miss. Decent selection from omelette to waffles & biscuits. If you're picky or can't do standard budget food then go to a proper $ cafe. But breakfast room is always busy bustlin' packed elbow to elbow, a little too crowded & stressful for our comforts. Also located on the 3rd floor, even though there's elevator if you're mobility challenged you'd probably have a hard time...
Read moreGreat location for visiting the center of Nashville, TN. Convient to the daytime downtown business district and the evening and nightlife. Also, very close.to the express way to travel in all directions around the City.
Beds are great, but rooms are small for 2 queen size beds. If you are going to be out a lot, then coming to shower and relax on the beds is best. I was there for work for 10 days, so this was ok for me. Also, it was quiet in the rooms at night.
Closet space is small, but enough to hang the important items for business and special occasions. The Fridge and Microwave were good additions for warming items, making hot snacks and a few cold beverages. There is a Whole Foods Market less than a mile away. Lots of surface space for working or placing items. TV is wall mounted,.so that added to the available surface space.
There was only one chair in the room, so sitting on the bed is required. Water is hot after it runs for a minute or 2. Unless you like cold showers, Give yourself some extra prep time.
The breakfast is fantastic with lots of options for all types of diets and eating desires. Eggs, Sausages, Biscuits, Gravy, Cereal, Juices, Milk. Yogurt, Waffle Maker, Whole Fruit (Apples, Oranges & Bananas) and some others choices I did not try. The Food Service during Breakfast hours is very attentive. A true value add for getting your day started right for adults and kids.
There is a laundry room with washers and dryers that can handle some larger loads. Coins are required, but quarters are available in the office. There is a swimming pool with a great view of the city. Since it was Winter, no one was in it, but it was very clean. My room had a hallway overlooking the pool that was like a motel garden style that was open to the outdoors as soon as you stepped outside. I think there was a newer area I could see that was hotel style with enclosed hallways.
Parking is available for a daily fee around the hotel. Abundant enough to have your vehicle very close to your room. Well lit and secured with a perimeter fence. Parking access is open, but monitored early evenings to ensure hotel guests are driving the vehicles using the parking lot. There were several food and entertainment places across the street and people were looking for nesrby...
Read moreDuring my recent stay at the Comfort Inn Nashville West, I found myself pleasantly surprised by many aspects of the hotel, though a few challenges did arise.
Walking into my room, I immediately noticed how clean and inviting the space was. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, making it easy to settle in after a long day. I also appreciated the little touches, like the soft linens and well-maintained amenities, that made the room feel like a cozy retreat.
Each morning started on a high note with the complimentary breakfast. The food was fresh and tasty, with plenty of options to suit different preferences. It wasn’t just convenient—it felt like a thoughtful start to the day.
The hotel’s location was another big win. Being so close to a variety of restaurants and entertainment spots made exploring Nashville a breeze. I loved how easy it was to pop out for a quick bite or a night out and still be back at the hotel in no time.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of my stay was the staff. Every interaction I had with them was positive. They were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome. It’s rare to encounter a team that genuinely seems to care about their guests, and this team did just that.
That said, not everything was perfect. The soundproofing in the rooms left something to be desired. I could hear every loud conversation and door slam from nearby guests, which made it hard to relax, especially late at night. The cleaning service trolleys, with their hard plastic wheels, added to the noise during the morning hours. On top of that, construction nearby started on or about 7:00 a.m., which was far too early for anyone hoping to sleep in.
Despite these setbacks, I have to mention one more thing—the value. The room rates were very reasonable, especially considering the overall quality of the accommodations.
In the end, while there were a few bumps along the way, the Comfort Inn Nashville West offered a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay with a fantastic team and convenient location. With a little attention to the noise issues, this could easily become a go-to spot for travelers looking to experience Nashville without...
