The Thompson Nashville hotel is without a doubt and in every aspect the BEST hotel I have EVER stayed in, and it was so awesome that from here on out whenever I visit Nashville the Thompson is the ONLY hotel I want to stay in! I live about 6 hours away from Nashville (in St. Louis) and on a whim for my birthday a good friend of mine and I decided to take a road trip to Nashville for the weekend, and neither of us had been there before so we had no idea what hotels were in the area or where we were going to stay. My friend ended up calling his Amex card to see what kind of deals he could get and they strongly recommended the Thompson which also happened to be the best deal, and considering we had never been there and all we were going on was a single recommendation we are SO GLAD the Thompson is the hotel we went with!! The hotel itself is incredibly classy and everyone we interacted who worked there was extremely professional and polite, and the room we stayed in was so classy and well designed that it honestly felt like we were staying in a suite even though we weren't. Another thing about the Thompson that just blew us away is that it has an insanely awesome rooftop bar which has an almost 360 degree jaw dropping view of Nashville (which is a popular destination by itself), and I'm sure this is probably not the "norm" so I'm definitely not saying you should expect it, but the first night we went Kid Rock happened to be there (he was just there to chill so he made sure it wasn't announced so people wouldn't swarm him) and we actually wound up getting to meet him and hang out with him for a while! I talked to him for almost 10 minutes not even knowing it was Kid Rock! lol It was just surreal because he was so nice and easy to talk to. The last thing I thought I'd mention which is just another awesome thing about the Thompson, is that it's only about a 3 minute cab ride from Broadway which is another really popular destination. Some people were saying we could even walk to Broadway from the Thompson but it was just too cold while we were there, but I'm sure walking it wouldn't be a big deal at all in the summer time. Anyway so to wrap this up.. If you're planning on going to Nashville and you're not sure where to stay, all I can say is that we had such a great time in Nashville thanks to the Thompson hotel.. so I HIGHLY...

I just spent another 5 days at the Thompson Hotel in Nashville and the experience continues to be amazing. Did some incredible cycling in Franklin, Leipers Fork, and the Natchez Trace again. The team members are so delightful. The Valet team truly make the experience so enjoyable.
I will be back!

A Cyclist’s Dream Stay at Thompson Hotel, Nashville, TN
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Thompson Hotel in Nashville, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Located in the heart of the Gulch, the Thompson is the perfect base for exploring the city on two wheels.
Perfect Location for Cyclists: The Gulch is an ideal starting point for my daily cycling adventures. I’ve transformed my spacious hotel room into a mini cycling camp, and it couldn’t have been more accommodating. The room offered plenty of space for all my gear, and the hotel’s filtered water stations on each floor were a huge win for staying hydrated.
Thoughtful Amenities One of the standout features for me was the availability of packaged ice bags. Given the blazing hot weather, these were perfect for keeping my hydration of choice ice-cold in my water bottles. Such small but thoughtful extras truly enhanced my stay.
Exceptional Service The staff at Thompson Hotel went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Every interaction was pleasant and professional, from the valet team to the front desk and guest services. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Delicious Post-Ride Meals After a rigorous 2-3 hour ride, the convenience of ordering Greek yogurt, bacon, and cheeseburgers was perfect. The food was delicious and exactly what I needed to refuel, and with the Marsh House located onsite, it's a winner.
Versatile for Any Traveler Whether you’re in town for business, setting up your kids for college, enjoying a fun weekend, or, like me, coming for some excellent cycling, the Thompson Hotel is designed to cater to all your needs. It offers a range of amenities that ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay, no matter the reason for your visit.
In conclusion, the Thompson Hotel in Nashville is a gem. Its prime location, exceptional Service, and cyclist-friendly amenities make it a top choice for any traveler. I can’t wait to return for...
Read moreMy stay at the Thompson Nashville was a bit of a mixed experience. While the location and the hotel's charm were great, there were a number of issues with the service and amenities that made the stay less than ideal.||||First, the check-in process was more stressful than it needed to be. We arrived at 3 p.m., an hour before the official check-in time, hoping to take advantage of the early check-in benefit offered with our American Express. Unfortunately, we were told that rooms weren’t available and that the hotel was sold out. When I asked if we could check in at 4 p.m., the response was vague and unclear, leading to some confusion about whether we'd even have a room. Eventually, I realized the staff member was referring to an upgrade as it was part of our AE benefits. It felt like there was a lack of clear communication from the start.||||Things got a little better when a staff member noticed we were traveling with a toddler and helped us get a room. That was much appreciated, but it was a frustrating start to the stay.||||Once we got into our room, things didn’t improve much. The TV didn’t work, and even after maintenance came to fix it, the issue wasn’t fully resolved. It was a problem that continued into the evening, and I didn’t want to have maintenance back in the room after it was already going into my toddler’s bedtime. The TV wasn’t fully fixed until the next day, and then, to top it off, our phone stopped working the following day. We ended up having maintenance in our room every day of our stay. While the staff was very helpful and responsive to fix these issues, it was still disappointing to encounter so many problems during our stay.||||That said, the location of the hotel was fantastic. It’s in a great area, with the Gulch neighborhood offering plenty of restaurants and shopping. It's also an easy walk to Broadway and the Country Music Hall of Fame. If you're looking to be close to the heart of Nashville, this is a prime spot.||||All in all, while the Thompson Nashville has a lot going for it in terms of location and staff responsiveness, I think they need to work on the basics—like clear communication at check-in and making sure everything in the room is in working order before...
