Egghill has several clever local references Egghill in the Edgehill neighborhood, a bear flipping an egg on the wall (the crest for Edgehill is a bear), egg themed furniture and style. It’s all pretty fun.
Aside from fun it was a SOLID breakfast using local ingredients. You can feel confident the quality of food you’re eating is going to surpass much of what you could have at any old breakfast chain.
Aside from the fun ambiance and the local ingredients, the food itself was just REALLY solid. It was a comforting and delicious breakfast. The eggs were plentiful and fluffy. The bun was buttery and pillowy like a croissant. The sausage was the best I’ve ever had. The jam was rich and sweet. All very good.
I had a side of hash browns and grits. It was all cheese laden and delicious. My only wish was that the hash browns had a little more crisp but it was still delicious. I look forward to bringing company visiting here and trying some of the other options. I would not normally order grits AND hash browns but I wanted to try something out.
Just as a warning this place is not for the vegans. Haha. I’m lactose intolerant but I decided to deal with it today and I actually didn’t have much of a reaction.
Shoutout to the staff who was all nice, helpful, and accommodating. They made some...
Read moreAfter seeing this establishment on one of my Outside TV shows I added it to my list of places to visit. Being Thompson’s Station based it was an easy one to check off the list to try. The family and I not only checked it off our list to try this morning. This place made us create a new list because it was so great! New list is: we need this in our lives several times a month. Egghill inspired that list and is first on that list. The atmosphere, the service and the food, the food, the food, the food………the Egghill sandwich and the tots was absolutely amazing. Service, next level! I typically rate things on a 1, 3, 5 scale. 1 is below expectations, 3 is met expectations and 5 exceeded expectations……this place is a very, very, very strong 5!!!!! I can’t wait to return, likely next Saturday! Great job Egghill, you all put everyone else to shame when it comes to breakfast...
Read moreThis place is egg-ceptional. 10/10. Had the Jamwich with good sauce & hot sauce on the side, and it’s one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Also had the Sea Island blue corn grits with goat cheese & the tater tot casserole. Flavors of a high end restaurant + dankness of a mom & pop shop. I really respect that they’re doing their best to source almost everything as locally as possible. Really makes it feel like a neighborhood spot that is invested in its community. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely make this a regular stop when...
