Table for 4 for dinner We arrived at the Gaylord Resort on a Monday afternoon, eager to check out the holiday decorations, but we wanted to grab a bite first. We already knew there were a bunch of restaurants scattered around the property. We started searching on our phones, but it was a little challenging to find something that was open and something our differing taste buds could agree on. Eventually, we settled on Fuse, though locating the place turned out to be the next hurdle. After asking a few people and following a few signs, we finally tracked it down. Fuse is definitely a casual sports bar. We entered without a reservation and were seated immediately. The dining room was very big with TVs everywhere. Our server came by quickly for our drink order. I asked about the beer choices, and he advised they had a Hazy IPA from Bearded Iris Brewing called Homestyle. I ordered one and my youngest ordered one of the specialty drinks. Wifey and my oldest ordered the pink lemonade. The menu was not huge, and some family members were struggling to find something. We finally made our decisions by the time our server came over. I went for the Chicken Quesadilla, Wifey chose BBQ wings with a side of fries, my oldest ordered a Cheeseburger with fries, and the youngest settled on Cheese Fries. It may sound straightforward, but there were a bunch of customizations. Luckily, our server was friendly and accommodating. The food arrived promptly, and tasted like what you would expect from a bar kitchen. The fries were a hit, and I managed to snag a couple of wings from Wifey. They were a nice size and tasted good. My quesadilla was decent, nothing more. The real winner was our server, but overall this place was a typical sports...
Read moreUpon being seated by the hostess, I was not properly acknowledged by my waiter for over 10 mins. He walked past our table 4x without even stopping to greet us. His section only consisted of 4 tables. After ordering our food, my wifes meal arrived at the wrong table and their food to ours. The cook noticed it when I advised him that this was not her order. In the meantime her meal sat amongst 4 guests discussing how the order wasn’t theirs. The cook swapped the meals to the proper tables but after a disgusted look from my wife, he offered to remake her food in which I did appreciate. As I prepared to take a bite of my food, I noticed that my fries were extremely soggy and the waiter had not provided any silverware for my entree! This would have been great to relay to the waiter but he had not been seen for 15+ minutes!
This type of service and food quality was totally unexpected for this particular resort, especially considering the amount of money that we spent in reference to the water experience, resort and etc. I am highly disappointed.
After our food came we waited an additional 10 minutes for the waiter. We looked around and the other three tables were waiting also. The looks on their faces read that they were just as frustrated as we were. We took our food and drinks and headed over to the bar. The gentlemen there were attentative and respectful. We transferred our tab there.
After a few minutes of sitting there, we looked down to the end of the bar and noticed our waiter at the end of the table flirting with guests! The experience was absolutely unprofessional and a waste of our...
Read moreI love this place. We ate here 3x during our stay. Quickly seated, no wait. We had burgers the first time with Asada fries. The fries were scrumptious. The burgers were delicious. Our waitress was very couteous and kept our glasses full. The second time we had Kenya... so funny and friendly! She was wonderful to talk to and was an awesome server. We loved her and hated we wouldn't see her again on this trip. We had Meatball sub and a burger. The sub was ok. The bread was delicious and fresh. Wasn't impressed with the meatballs. They tasted overcooked and there was more bread than anything else. The burger was very good. The mozzarella sticks were great. The third time we had Gabriela, who was here from Ecuador. She was also a wonderful waitress, very friendly and informative. She questioned our decision on the potato salad. We thought it was great from before so ordered it again. She said most people don't like it. It is different. If you're expecting mustard based with pickles, not that kind of potato salad. It's more loaded potato salad with the taste of sour cream and chives. Still very yummy. We ate the buffalo chicken sandwich this time with mozzarella sticks. We loved the sandwiches. Very tasty. All in all our favorite place to eat at the Gaylord Opryland. We will definitely eat there again when we come back...
