Stopped by for a quick lunch while shopping around at the Farmers' Market. Ordered the Goat Curry, Vegetable Rice, Lentils, and Vegetable Samosa. Service wasn't too friendly, but was efficient. Since everything is already made, they packed it up in a Styrofoam container and I was on my way to find a table. Food was decent and good for the Farmers' Market, but I've had better options. It was a little lacking on the flavor and spice for me, but not necessarily bad. If you're in the mood for Indian Food at the Farmers' Market, then it's a good option.

Just moved to Nashville and really hoped Swagruha was going to be good. Actually ... I'd have settled for ok. Located inside the Farmer's Market, it was a preprepared hot counter with a dozen options. I had the Chicken Rice, Tikka Masala and Chicken 65. The portion was large .... But .... Far too much salt, the flavors were flat and the meat stewed. The only saving grace was the Samosa. At $2 it was reasonable.

The lady who worked there was rude. All I had were large bills that she wouldn't accept, nor would she accept my credit card for food. The food looked old anyways. Luckily, there are many fresh alternatives in the surrounding food court. I would recommend looking around more.

I ate lunch several times in Swagruha ignoring the usual rudeness of the main lady there. Sometimes when I am not that hungry, I just order a samaso and the Mango Smoothie all the time feeling unwelcome. I thought it was her nature. This is time my wife ordered a Dosa which comes with idli and there was a strand of hair inside the idli. When my wife went to show this to them, she just trashed the plate and shut the inner door on her face and no one returned for a while. When they returned, instead of speaking courteously, the lady started arguing. "How will we come to know, you ate it and are now saying?" My wife was calm and replied, "Isn't it funny, how will I come to know before eating?" She retorted in a condescending tone, "Okay, okay, you want your money, I will give you your money. How much you paid?" Oh my God, did we come there to get back money? Offering to be refunded is definitely the least any business would do, however as customers we definitely deserve to be treated courteously. Overall what happened was not at all how it should be when talking to a customer. My wife had to tell her that getting six dollars back was not our business, but as a customer we deserve to be treated courteously and deserve an apology. She hurriedly just uttered the apology fearing whether other people around would hear what's happening and again, going inside,...

I was at Swagruha on Feb. 27th and had late lunch. Had been to Swagruha several times for the best south indian food. I got on google to write a review, finally. I was surprised to to Asish review. I was there in line with my friends, when this incident took place. My version! This place is like a food court type restaurant at a mall. While we were in the line, this indian lady went inside the restaurant through employees only door with an empty plate (ate the entire dosa) and wanted her money in a threatening way. The lady at the counter told her, that she was sorry, and will make fresh dosa and idli, but she wanted her money, got her money! Her husband sitting at a table in the food court, listening to his wife wrote a review. What an Idiot! We told the lady at the counter, you have to careful with the indians and gujjus for their cheap tricks. Feb 16, 2012 sr979 review. Sat for a long time? This is not a sit in restaurant. You be the judge!!!! I was at the night market on 8/17/12 and had a Dosa, it was the best. The...

Didn't even get to try the food. The guy at the counter was really rude. This woman was in front of me and they were both staring at me. She was his friend, I assume, cause they were talking and only after I asked if she was in line, she moved aside. The guy at the counter seemed irritated I was there. I wanted to try the veggie samosa but they were out of them, which was fine. I looked over the menu for not even ten seconds and the guy mumbled "oh my god" like he was frustrated I even had to look at the menu. It was slow. There was nobody else in line. I had never been there before and was trying to think about what I wanted. That turned me off immediately. I said thank you and walked away to which his reply was just "yup". Absolutely rude and a poor first time experience. The staff needs to brush up on their customer service skills. If they dislike working with the public so much, perhaps they should find another line of work. Maybe I'll try again when that guy isn't working the counter. So...
