For my 2 American Wagyu & Blue salads, they forgot to include they wagyu steak. I called the store and it took them nearly 20 minutes to answer my call. When they answered my call, I was placed in hold. I decided to drive back to the store with the salads on hand. One had already been mixed and eaten from that is how we knew it had no steak; the other one was still in the container unopened. We arrived at the store and got in line to talk to the cashier. We told her what had happened and she took the items back and showed the cook girl at the grill the items. Cashier came back to the counter and said "So, what do you want?" No apologies or sense of customer service communication at all. I did not know really what she meant by it so I asked "what do you mean" to what she replied "Yes, I mean do you want a refund, a remake or what do you want?" to what I answered "Yes, I would like a remake, please" Then she turn around and left. After waiting for a few minutes she came back with my two salads with some (extremely little) meat in them. She put salads in a bag and said "there you go". I was very disappointed to how the situation was handled and the very poor customer service I received from that location. But the MOST ALARMING issue is the fact that the cashier took BACK our food items which had left the store, and had been touched by customers and also eaten from. She took our salads and placed them in the food preparation counter where other team members were preparing other customers' meals. Obviously this employee was not properly trained about cross-contamination and salmonella. I was never offered an apology or any kind of compensation for not only messing up my ordered, but putting all customers and myself at risk. Specially with COVID-19 situation at the current time. Read moreUnbelievably good! I found this shop while visiting their neighbor, CVS. Starving at midnight, I just wanted a quick, satisfying bite. As someone who strives to eat plant based, I was elated to see a vegetarian section on their menu board. Not just ordinary “veggie” fare, Capriotti’s listed creative plant based cheese “steak” and “turkey”. I ordered a small “Cole”, no mayo, Russian dressing on the side. I wasn’t ready to order the $19.99 large.
The friendly sandwich maker helped me, as if I was his sister, and granted my wish of spicy peppers on the side. He handed me my delicious sandwich with a warm smile, then he returned to creating more, as I left the store happy with my experience.
After a 20 minute journey back to my hotel, the sandwich traveled well, carefully wrapped in plain newspaper style paper & their store’s wax paper.
I’m glad I asked for no mayo and the Russian OTS. The crunchy coleslaw adds enough dressing to perfectly flavor the “turkey” & French bread. The bread tastes fresh & holds the fillings well.
As it was late, I wasn’t expecting much. The sandwich maker was a super star and deserves special recognition.
Constructive criticism: the person who took my order didn’t try to upsell me. No mention of adding a drink or side was used. Since I was starving, I probably would have added more to my order had he persuaded me. Now I regret only getting a small sandwich.
Btw, the peppers are HOT! I was expecting Subway’s soggy, boring peppers, but Capriotti’s peppers are kicking my face...
Read moreThe purpose of my review isn’t to bash the entire establishment, Just had a bad first experience here thanks to the cook. My wife and I ate here after our Uber driver recommended it on 08/08/24 at around 12:15am . We walked in and can see that the cook was annoyed based on him arguing with the cashier (name tag said Dee). We ordered and can hear him slamming the silverware and chopping unreasonably loudly. I can see my wife was nervous and it bothered me to the point I considered walking out even though we already paid. We decided to put up with it and after the longest wait of our lives, the food was done and the cook threw our sandwich’s on the counter. He bagged it and handed it to me with an angry look on his face. I told him “thank you “ and he just shook his head and walked away. My wife and I were so so disgusted by this man that it ruined our appetite and it ended up being a waste of our time. I understand people have bad days, however , based on this restaurant being very well established and professional looking, I expected a much better experience than what was given.
