Honest Review:

Daniel is a godsend, coolest 2nd Flr General Manager all suited up in gold, very friendly gentleman who helped a lost child find her mother AND threw away dirty trash; he deserves a promotion/raise/bonus for going above and beyond his work expectations; we need more people like him!

Daniel helped my family of 4 get a full refund and never once doubted us after explaining our disgust with Miami Slice pizza. We waited over 1hr for 11 slices (4x cheese, 4x mushroom truffles and 3x pepperoni).

Mind you, we didn’t get to eat since 11:30am after our Alaska flight from SFO to VEGAS was delayed; 2:30pm landing but not til 4pm. The car rental shuttle took 30mins then another 2.5hrs with Avis; downgraded with refund for not having the car we reserved. We didn’t leave til 7pm and arrived at Fontainebleau by 7:30pm.

My wife wanted to self park (huge mistake if you need to check-in, walking distance was 10-15mins). Just pay valet $50 dollars so you’ll be in front (thank me later).

We checked in by 8pm (make sure to have your room key to gain access with security) went to our rooms then needed to eat at the 2nd flr.

I wanted to go ALL IN. I saw Papi Steakhouse and wanted to drop 1K but the host said “no entry without reservation”. They better have limited time restricted Japanese imported 5A5 steak for $300 per 3oz, don’t do the Tomahawk Bone-In (that boomerang bone; you pay $50 to box it for your dog lol).

So we went to Komodo but my mother-in-law (MiL) was like “look at the artificial coloring Peking Duck hung on display, they’re tricking you [in Cantonese translated to English]. I was like “I ain’t ordering it, let’s go in, I didn’t travel on vacation to eat food court stuff”.

But my daughter was already crying in hunger/agony and my wife plus MiL wanted pizza at Miami Slice where she waited in line for 20-30mins. She ordered 11x pizza slices and 4x bottles of Sprite and told us they make fresh to order.

So my daughter literally had to be coaxed with drinking Sprite and watching iPad with her fave headphones. Now mind you I had gout on my L foot so I couldn’t assist my timid, non-confrontational, pushover of a wife (I’m sleeping on the floor) at the cashier/pick up so I WAITED and progressively become MORE frustrated.

My wife said that all the staff were saying sorry, how long does it take to make pizza; WELL, over 1hr. I saw people at the bar stools getting their slices a dime a dozen like VIP it was cray.

Anyway, I made a scene at my table (we sat by the booth that can fit 12) after receiving our pizza and EVERYONE looked at me stunned as I RAGED verbally with low profanity (I sincerely apologize) that it is NOT OKAY and UNACCEPTABLE to have to wait so long for pizza.

We’re 1st time guests at Fontainebleau and customers at Miami Slice; customers are always right if I am paying near $200 to have pizza in a luxury hotel 5-Star hotel LOL.

The only special thing about Miami Slice’s pizza is adding a drizzle of honey something you can do at home then they overcharge you $15 for a thin slice with cheap toppings and a thick/tasteless edge. I’ll pay $45 for that same slice with REAL truffle $40 grated back and forth 3x maxed at Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen LOL!

We’re NEVER going back; I’ve dissuaded other guests to eat there; I don’t want them to go through this mess. So please save your money and go eat next door at Roadside Tacos; everyone was licking their fingers and looked very happy; TRUST!

I just called guest services; Blanca confirmed Daniel as the 2nd Flr GM, escalated the situation to their supervisor AND documented it on my reservation because it’s VERY unacceptable in a 5-Star luxury hotel.

You can get away with it with my wife because she doesn’t want any drama BUT you cannot do this to me and especially to my hungry daughter EVER; shame on you Miami Slice, what an embarrassment to this 5-Star luxury hotel Vegas establishment. I can care less for the refund of near $200 since knowing you had the audacity to have done what you did is unforgivable; I won’t stay silent...

I'm on a personal mission to eat all the best pizza in the world...I'm a fan of all styles, as long as it's the best of that style...I'm happy with Chicago, Detroit, grandma, pan...as long as it's great and authentic. My heat, though, is with NYC Style slices. Not regular restaurant pizza that they call "NY Style" but real NY slice, thin and crispy with the right amount of sauce and cheese. They either know what they're doing or they don't. Miami Slice knows what they're doing when it comes to NYC slices.

I rushed to the line after the concert at the nearby hotel theater let out....I realized, even though it wasn't that long, that I could be seated at the "slice bar" or in the dining area and not have to stand in line. So I opted to do that since it gave me a built in place to eat my slice.

I typically get a cheese slice at a place I've never been to before...just so I can measure the baseline of what they're doing. That having been said, I couldn't resist getting the cheese slice (which they call "Margherita de la Casa") with their "All Kicks" style. All Kicks means they'll add lumps of soft stracciatella cheese, basil and hot honey. It was too indulgent not to give it a go...I figured I'd be able to tell if it was a legit NYC slice underneath those additions. I'd have to say I made the right choice. This indulgent slice, with that gooey extra soft cheese on top and the slight kick of the hot honey, didn't take away from the slice experience at all. I've been dreaming about this slice since I had it. I want to go back to Las Vegas and have it again. This slice may be worth a trip to Vegas on its own.

They've also got a Mushroom Truffle slice which looked out of site and if they could do "Leeks on Bacon" without the bacon, (vegetarian here) I'd give that one a go too.

Service at the slice bar where I was sitting was quick and friendly.

There is a lot of great NYC style pizza in Las Vegas but you definitely won't go wrong choosing this spot. Go "All Kicks."...

Miami Slice is the epitome of....."Well, it's fine!" ..But NOT for the price.

I visited the Fontainebleau Promenade Food Hall to try something from the different options there as part of a video. At Miami Slice, I decided to stick to a good ol' Margherita Pizza, or the Margherita De La Casa, as they call it here, because if you can't get a Margherita Pizza right, then you can't do it right at all!

Alright, so the first off, kudos to the speed (although it IS just a slice of pizza), as it was ready right away. On the other hand, that's probably another sign of its middle of the road status, in that it was likely just one of several slices sitting out.

On to the pizza itself! It came in a giant pizza box (even though it was just one slice....) and was decently sized. Not the biggest pizza slice I've seen on the strip (where huge slices of pizza tends to be a pretty popular trend), but good enough to get full off of. The pizza itself was the definition of mid. It didn't taste bad, but there really wasn't much cheesiness or standout flavor to it at all. And definitely not worth $8 for a single slice!

As for atmosphere and ambiance, there's not too much to say about it, as Miami Slice is just located in what is basically a glorified food court.

I personally would NOT recommend stopping by this mediocre pizza spot that, quite frankly, has...
