Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in New Albany

Kiera rang in my girlfriend's sandwich incorrectly today at 12:03 p.m. Was supposed to be a Chicken Teriyaki with no onion, sub mushroom. It came out with extra onion, no mushroom. Not a big deal. We were graceful, polite and understanding. But she seems very flighty and unfocused. My girlfriend had to repeat it three times during the order, and it was still rang up incorrectly. Then my girlfriend found a hair in her replacement sandwich. We were still polite, graceful and understanding about it, but Kiera was literally yelling about having to make the sandwich again, even though she rang up the first sandwich incorrectly. Another female employee told her to make it anyway. All of the other customers heard her yelling about it. She eventually walked the sandwich to the table, dropped it with an intentional thud. She the walked away, and didn't say a word. No apology is one thing. But she had an attitude about it, as if we inconvenienced her, and we weren't welcome. Just want to let you know. Because this experience was a stark contrast to how service normally is at this establishment, and I know this experience isn't a reflection on this...

Me and my boyfriend went to this penn station today and the cashier literally was the rudest human being I've ever met, he talked to us like he worked for Dicks Resort, as if he was suppose to be rude to us for fun. My boyfriend stated what sub he wanted & the guy literally would reply and talk over him saying things like "no you need to tell me exactly what you want" "no I didnt ask that, I asked If you wanted onions or not" "what else do you want" (sighing loudly and rudely everytime my bf took a split second to think) you just had to be there. If I would've had him recorded you wouldn't believe how rude he was being. This guy literally had my blood pressure sky high. Then we got to the end to pay and he gives us one cup, I say "we ordered 2 cokes" (nicely) and he says well only 1 was rang up so heres a water cup. I asked for a refund and we left. In my life I have worked in fast food and been to many restaurants but I have NEVER seen someone treat another person like that for no reason at all. We did nothing to this guy, but the way he treated us you would think we were his worst enemy. Worst restaurant...

The food was good and prepared quickly. However, my one star is because of the cleanliness issues. The window sills had spider webs and dead bugs and dust. But the bathrooms were deplorable. Even after discreetly mentioning it to a lady at the counter, nothing was done during our 45 minute stay. They hadn't been cleaned, straightened, or replenished in some time (and we were there at lunch so that meant they hadn't been cleaned that day at all). If we'd seen these conditions before ordering, we would have left. I spoke with the manager as we left. Apparently several people had mentioned it to her. So why weren't they being cleaned then??? Remember, we were there 45 minutes (any by the time we left we were the ok nly ones there which means they weren't inundated with...
