El Pollo Rico # 7 — Restaurant in New Braunfels

when i tell you i was SHOCKED when my food came out i was so surprised at the quality of service i’ve received here. a coworker of mine recommended this place to eat at and gave it so much hype. i was excited and intrigued to try something new out. so one lovely evening me and my husband go to this place on his ONLY day off and we waited 45 MINUTES ( felt closer to a hour but who was counting) after securing a table we got our drink and i asked for extra ice and lemon in my water which i didn’t receive either of !! after i asked several time for them i still didn’t get any by the end. my husband orders a drink and then we order our food. things were okay till we waited over 30 minutes to receive our food and i was LIVID when i saw my dish i SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR NO ONIOS ! and guess what they did ? THEY GAVE ME ONIONS. there was literally 35 bags of onion on my plate. i told the server that i asked for no onions she then rolled her eyes and what felt like another 30 minutes ago she brings me a fresh plate although this food was delicious i didn’t even get to enjoy dinner with my husband and the wait is...

Do not bother going to this lousy place. I ordered 2 tacos Al pastor n some chicken tacos with no veggies, got the order n it was dripping wet!!! All Tortillas were soggy n saturated in the moist n wet veggies that I didn’t order. The bag was soggy n wet as well and beans I ordered with sausage came with no sausage. Spoke to the manager and he said he’d replace my entire order. Tried reordering the order to get it replaced later n manager said he didn’t remember speaking to me after getting my name to remake the order after telling me he’d replace it. I was not only disregarded as an unwanted customer, they failed to get my order renewed n placed correctly. The server Patty acted like they knew nothing about it so they wouldn’t have to make it over. I will never go there again! Bad Food preparation. Does not pay attention to detail cause they don’t understand what your saying. Save yourself the trouble! This place doesn’t deserve your business. Not to mention the roaches in dining area! Yuk! I’m really glad I didn’t get anymore tacos...

Great tasty chicken, been buying for years, BUT it is very disappointing that now they are only giving 2 green salsas, and 1 red salsa for a whole chicken! You want more? You have to pay $.50/each. I understand current market conditions, but to over extend your prices on salsa like this, is a BIG NO for me. I'm a salsa fanatic and this is utterly irritating.

Chips as well - used to get a great decent size bag for $3.00. Now is nowhere near half the size - for the same price!

Tortillas are no longer home made! Literally giving cheap quality off shelf tortillas.

Listen, El Pollo Rico you need to reconsider what business adjustment you guys are making cause sadly the smallest things like the salsa, chips and tortillas is what drives customers like me to your business.
