Certainly not the same great service from years gone by. Went in around 5pm last Sunday. Maybe two tables occupied and no one in line. Should be a good experience since they had about ten employees mulling around. The young cashier apparently did not know the menu and managed to add extras to the soup without letting us know there was an up charge. Perhaps its worth it but our much delayed food did not include the extras. We sat on the opposite corner of the room. Meanwhile the restaurant started getting additional customers, so John, the unmasked, unshaven manager started shouting commands to his staff clearly heard throughout the restaurant. You could tell by the look on most of the employees they did not appreciate it. Sounded like we were in some busy dive in New Jersey. Later, the tattooed, unshaven, no mask manager was delivering orders all around us to tables that arrived after us. After waiting twenty minutes for our order and intently watching the deli line, the manager figured out we were still waiting. Screaming at the employees he asked where was #82 in a loud and disturbing way. One guy responds loudly that he does not have some ingredient. The manager goes to the back kitchen and ten minutes later another employee brings our order. Apparently the manager did not want to chance talking to us. The food was decent; the service and atmosphere was not. No, the extra cost add ons were not present; maybe that was the delay and the manager...
Read moreI don't consider myself a salad guy, but Jason's Deli salad bar is the exception. I love the quality and selection of ingredients. The soft serve ice cream is also a favorite. Pre-pandemic, I would give this Jason's Deli five stars.
Due to the pandemic, we just started going to indoor restaurants in recent months, and it seems that the quality and service have slipped a bit. The vanilla ice cream has been out on on the last two out of four visits, which, sadly, means no indulging in one of my favorite guilty pleasures (root beer floats). In addition, several ingredients at the salad bar always seem to be empty, and my requests for refills are sometimes met with mild annoyance. Pre-pandemic, I would make due and get the ingredients I want on a second trip, but sadly, the unlimited salad bar has been eliminated and replaced with a slightly cheaper one-trip only option, ostensibly due to the pandemic. Given that vaccines are widely available, COVID cases are dropping, gloves are worn by customers, I'm hoping this policy will...
Read moreQuality of food is good. Price is little higher then some other but mostly worth it. Low rating is for the poor service we received. Not too busy on walk in. No one in front of us and one person behind in line. Out of the 8 plus people working none greeted us or told us just one moment. They just looked and would walk by or start something else or even talk amongstthemselves. About to just walk out when finally order was taken by very less then enthusiastic employee.
Bathroom had nothing to dry your hands off with.
Lastly when there with 2 toddlers we asked for more napkins from server. Who kinda chuckled and walked away. When didn't return went and found a make do roll of paper towels sitting around. The complete lack of customer service is amazing people would even go here anymore. I know my family won't be. I am also telling everyone I know how bad experience this was.
We have been here a couple times before and never...
