I've worked for businesses owned by family and businesses owned by friends, so the frustrations with my experience come from believing people should be treated a certain way. I didn't receive that treatment. I had to wait quite a bit just to be greeted because the person behind the counter was joking with another employee. I'm all about a great work environment, but at least pause to acknowledge a person's existence when they're trying to bring in business.
I asked about the menu and was told everything is good. I would hope it is! A little more effort into explaining the detail of the meals/flavors would've been appreciated.
When it was time to pay the screen was placed in front of me to slide my card, no big deal at all. Then the person behind the counter continued her conversation. Again, no big deal. I slid my card, left a tip, left a signature, and walked out of the door. The entire time the same conversation was still going on. The employee never broke her attention to give any acknowledgement that I left. If showing up to a business interrupts conversation hours, then I'll not show up.
Coincidentally, my girlfriend messaged on Instagram to ask about their hours and was told that they're listed on Google. So is it an issue to ask for details via social media? Why aren't the hours listed there? I didn't go to this location because I lack knowledge, time, or energy when it comes to meal prepping. From leading physical fitness programming in the military, to having my CrossFit Level 1 certification, to a kinesiology degree... I'm well aware of my resources when it comes to eating healthy. I went to Gainz to support local business; to support someone that's chasing their dream.
In person I was made to feel like I didn't exist, and online my girlfriend is talked to like she's an idiot. Rather than googling the hours for this restaurant I googled other local meal prep services in the area. I'll be spending my money at those locations...
Read moreThis was a very unpleasant shopping experience. We will not return. We are in Austin a few days a week, so access to healthy pastries is not a problem, but we thought we would shop local and support this small business. Sadly, RAYMOND, was very rude, unfriendly, and pretty much demonstrated that he didn't care if we were there or not. Actually, it felt more like he would rather we not be, even though we spent a pretty decent amount on pastries. From entry to exit, his demeanor and answers to our questions were both condescending and vague. We are very knowledgeable on healthy ingredients. We were not asking for an explanation of the ingredients, but only to make sure that our selections had the ingredients we prefer. No, we haven't tried the pastries, but based on our experience, taste doesn't matter. We couldn't wait to get out of there. If the bakery replies, it will probably be something like, "Sorry you felt that way. Just don't come back." Similar to replies to other "rude" reviews. Good idea. We won't.
Reply: The details of the particular ingredients are not the issue. Like I said, we can get healthy items elsewhere. Also, I use many apps. I've worked as a programmer and I'm quite tech savvy. However, we still have a generation or two that is not. So the fact that your response is to send me to an app is in itself not good customer service. HELP your customers' with their questions and at least act like you appreciate their business. Good luck surviving after another health conscious bakery opens up in the area. Hmmm, that's a thought. Possible business opportunity...
Read moreI use the meal prep as well as nutrition coaching service offered by Gainz. My Coach, Macy, is absolutely amazing! She dials in all of my meals not only to my nutrition and fitness needs but also to my taste! Before using their services I felt as though my workouts and emotions were on a roller coaster ride. I tried every diet I could google search and nothing worked. I used to hear people talk about how nutrition and exercise could change your life, but always thought it lived in the land of make-believe, until being recommended to Gainz. When I have a craving, they have a fix...that tastes even better than those L'il Debbies the hubby has stashed away in the pantry. You want ranch? ... they got it! In the mood for some tacos? ... not a problem! Or how about that super juicy double decker burger ... yup got that, too. And it's all HEALTHY! ... but tastes just as sinfully delicious as those other fat-loaded options. And if their food isn't already good enough, their customer service is amazing! Every morning as I am walking in they already have my breakfast waiting as well as my morning coffee :). This might seem like a small task, but in the world in which we live where people cannot even remember to say "thank you', this is HUGE! I always know they have both my back and best interests at heart. If you have not stopped in or tried their food, I highly encourage you to do so, it will be the best decision you have ever made. Gainz Bakery is a game changer and I am so thankful to have a business like this in the area in which I live. Thanks y'all! I don't know what I would do...
