A few weeks ago, we were vacationing in the area with family visiting from out of state. After dinner, we were all craving something sweet—especially my husband, who had to have a banana split. (According to him, it’s not a real ice cream shop if it doesn’t serve banana splits—and I can’t argue, since he used to work at an ice cream shop!)
A quick online search led me to Rosie Lynn’s, which had photos of mouthwatering banana splits, sundaes, and more. We piled into our cars—eight adults, two kids, and two dogs—and arrived about an hour before closing.
Even with our large group and several other customers coming and going, the staff—clearly a hardworking, family-run team—went out of their way to make sure every single one of us got exactly what we wanted. With the kids helping out front and the parents building the treats behind the counter, it was a joy to watch them work together so kindly and efficiently.
The ice cream? Absolutely the best I’ve ever had. And my husband gave his official approval of the banana split—which says a lot!

Read moreIt was a very nice gesture of these folks to send our kiddo home with a free ice cream coupon. This was in fact my first time being here or hearing of this location. It was extremely clean and the decor, lighting, and overall layout was quite uplifting. I felt very welcomed with my family in this store, despite being shottily dressed after working on motorcycles most of the day. Outstanding and friendly service, which is very hard to find these days. I appreciate good customer service because it is lacked so much in this day and age. A group of kids had come in also, and you know how they have many questions and requests. She took the time to verify their questions, speak with them, and was so very friendly. People like that are so rare, such good folks. The ice cream was so good also. I wish this business to thrive and continue its growth, I encourage people to leave reviews as well after you're expierience. They help small businesses like this thrive, and support our local economy and people. Thank...
Read moreFather and son day concluded with a visit to Rosie Lynns. As a NB resident this was my first time here and I have to say I was greeted warmly and served some incredible ice cream. Just goes to show how much the town has grown and how many treasures are still left to be discovered.
My son had a kids cup of vanilla with extra whip cream and I had the medium size Chocolate Raspberry flavor in a waffle cone.
The kids cup was more than enough for my 4 year old who can polish off a bowl of ice cream like it’s his job and my medium cone was filled solid, top to bottom (no idea how she managed it without breaking the cone), with my ice cream and still two big scoops on top!!
Talk about your moneys worth!
It is not often quantity AND quality come together, but they most certainly did at Rosie Lynns! It was so good that before I left I bought a pint of orange dreamsicle to go for the wife.
We will be back to keep filling that...
