DANGEROUS Dining Experience at The Steakhouse in Caesars New Orleans – My Allergy Was Ignored
If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, STAY AWAY from The Steakhouse in Caesars New Orleans. What happened to me on New Year’s Eve (12/31/2024) was not only shocking but could have been life-threatening due to the restaurant’s negligence and blatant disregard for guest safety.
I am a vegetarian with a severe seafood allergy—both of which I clearly communicated when placing my order. Despite this: Deviled Eggs: I requested they be served without caviar. Instead, they were brought to me with caviar. When I pointed this out, the server admitted that instead of preparing a fresh dish, they simply scraped off the caviar because “the eggs were premade.” This was not only lazy but incredibly careless given my dietary needs. Mac & Cheese: I specifically asked for it to be made without lobster, but it was served with lobster. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this until after I had started eating. As a result, I suffered an allergic reaction—an extremely distressing and completely avoidable situation.
To make matters worse, I asked to speak with a manager to address these issues, but no manager came to our table. Instead, a staff member who did not appear to be management dismissed my concerns and said, “It’s hard to accommodate because everything has meat.” This response was not only disrespectful but also unprofessional and completely insensitive to my situation.
Their negligence and lack of care ruined my New Year’s Eve celebration. I trusted The Steakhouse to handle my dietary needs with professionalism and care, but instead, I was served food that endangered my health. My allergic reaction could have been far worse if I had consumed more of the dish.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one in Caesars New Orleans. Their disregard for guest safety, lack of accountability, and dismissive attitude is alarming. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or simply expect a safe and professional dining experience, I urge you to avoid The Steakhouse.
This was not a simple mistake—this was negligence that endangered my health. I hope Caesars takes immediate action to address these issues and ensures that no other guest has to endure this kind...
Read moreI am an avid steakhouse goer, and this place disappointed extremely. For starters, there are only 3 steak options and only in 1 size each - an 8 oz filet, a 16 oz ribeye, and a 14 oz strip. And to make it worse, they were out of the ribeye! They gave us menus that don’t list the ribeye, which led me to wonder how they have menus without a ribeye if they typically offer a ribeye. Turns out they keep backup menus without the ribeye because they run out of it often. So I guess it’s common to end up at this “steakhouse” with the option of only a strip or a filet. Anyways, I ordered the strip. It lacked in flavor and it came out with no crust whatsoever, very pale. They did nail the medium rare center, I’ll give them that and that only. I also ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo, which I found a bug in half way through eating it. When I told the waitress her response was, and I kid you not, “well you know that’s inevitable in New Orleans”. So apparently bugs in their food is normal? Service wasn’t so great. We weren’t checked up on often. She messed up splitting the checks completely. Note if you do come here, a couple people in our group ordered the pork chop which looked amazing and they did enjoy. Would recommend getting that over their steaks. But if you’re looking for steak, I would recommend going to a different...
Read moreOkay I read other post about this place before I went and Im sorry to say that this spot is overrated. I made reservations so that is a must because its in a Casino. We ordered the ribeye and the porkchop. Together that's a 100 bucks before you add sides...look at the picture of my 16 ounce medium ribeye and tell me if u would pay 60 bucks for a steak that looks like this and trust me it tasted exactly like it looked.... Overcooked and bland...My wife had the pork chop and let me tell you hers did NOT even come close to Perry's Pork Chop. It was decent and looked better than the steak but it was tough after the first 2 bites but it was good enough to get 2 stars..Lastly the service was absolutely horrible...our waitress dropped off water and food and never returned until it was time to pay. We didn't even get drinks because she never returned. If you consider this a good steakhouse then Im glad u had a good experience but for me a good steakhouse is good "consistently" with food and service not just when the good crew/cooks are there. Been to Ruth Chris/ Perrys/ Mortons and MANY more but I've honestly had a better steak "consistently" at Longhorn Steakhouse in Texas than I did...
