Hello everyone! I haven't even received my meal yet so I can't speak to the food. What I can review so far is our service from the door. We arrived with 4 people, and we were first in line. We are in NOLA with a large group celebrating my sister's 50th birthday! Part of our group was already seated when we arrived. Two tables became available at the same time when it was our turn to come in. Just then, 3 more in our party text to say they were close. So since there wasn't anyone else in line, we decided to take both tables to accommodate the other 3 in our party. When they arrived there were 3 people in line. We had 4 seats available, but they were not allowed to sit with us. The Owner dug in her heels and refused to let them sit with us. I don't know what everyone else thinks about that. I think it's horrible customer service and bad business at the same time. Not only was she willing to let 2 tables be filled with 4 people, but she couldn't make an exception for a large group bringing business to her establishment. We reluctantly decided to stay so as not to break up our group. We combined tables to help speed up our family getting in sooner. The food was okay. We won't be back. We have had amazing hospitality at every other restraunt we have been to despite their policy regarding large groups. The owner said she doesn't take reservations, and that's why she couldn't let our...

Ate here Sunday morning, during Essence. We were headed to a place we have been before (Daisy Duke's) but the line was toooooo long. As we kept walking, we saw this place. It had a shorter line, breakfast, and lunch (of course) and it stayed open an hour later than DD. We waited a bit, but once we got in, it was all good. We got the waitress whose birthday was on the 4th. She was so sweet, pleasant, and charming (Hey Girl)! I had the 2 eggs (so fluffy!!!!), grits w/ cheddar cheese, 2 sausage patties (delish), added a pancake (had to try it because my neighbors were so pretty-won't again sad face batter wasn't the best) and added a catfish!!!! That fish, BAYBAE was DELISH!!!! The lady next to our table had the lunch catfish portion and it just looked so good, I had to get it. Our waitress didn't make it any better either, she raved how good it was! I was so excited when I got my food, my camera did not get to eat first, I did! So, I have no pictures. We also met a lady that comes there every year she comes to Essence. I will definitely add this to my list to go every time I come to NOLA! Oh, my friend had to breakfast potatoes, them thangs were GOODT!!!! I'm so greedy, I would have gotten them instead of that pancake! If you are in town, try them out, they are good, good prices, fast and...

THIS is the kind of place every one hopes to find in the midst of a tourist trap neighborhood. Of course we live here so there's absolutely no excuse why we haven't been here before. Many years ago Michael "Hollywood" Broadway, the master shucker at Acme told us we HAVE to eat here. I put it on my green dot map of the world and there it has stayed until today.

We rolled in today because it was one of those rare occasions we found ourselves in the quarter during brunch time. The line at Ruby Slipper was stupidly long so I pulled up the olde Google saved places map and we rolled in to Menas. Sat at the bar and had a fabulous conversation with Leonidas, the proprietor bartender if 49 years. I had a side of the Cajun grits with a sunny side egg on top. Mark had the Nola sampler. The grits were too die for, creamy salty, meaty, perfect with a melty egg stirred in. I loved the shrimp remoulade that came with Marks sampler plate. I don't like remoulade sauce typically. This was light and not overpowering. The shrimp was fresh, sweet, plump and plentiful layered over juicy tomatoes. Of course the gumbo and red rice and beans were on point. Only disappointment was that it took us so long to get here. Will be back in the next week. I hear the fried chicken is really good. I...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mena's Palace in New Orleans' French Quarter, and it was a delightful experience. There was a bit of a wait outside the restaurant, which seemed to be a popular spot among locals and tourists alike. This added to the anticipation of the meal. Once seated, we were quickly attended to. Our orders were simple yet classic breakfast choices. I had the two-egg breakfast with eggs over easy, accompanied by fresh tomato slices and wheat toast. The eggs were cooked to perfection - a seemingly simple task, but one that many places get wrong. My companion ordered a similar dish, but with eggs sunny-side-up, white toast, and sausage. Again, the eggs were impeccably cooked. We also tried the French toast, which was a standout dish. It was wonderfully custardy, a delightful twist on a classic. The only drawback was the wait time for our food, which was longer than expected, likely due to the restaurant being quite busy. This, however, is a small price to pay for the quality of the meal. Overall, Mena's Palace offers a no-frills, yet thoroughly satisfying breakfast experience. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a hearty start to their day in the French Quarter.

The service at Mena's Place is truly exceptional. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every customer has a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you'll feel like family at Mena's Place. And the food? It's simply outstanding. The gumbo is rich and flavorful, the jambalaya is perfectly seasoned, and the red beans and rice are a true New Orleans classic. Every dish is made with care and attention to detail, and you can taste the love that goes into each and every bite. But what really sets Mena's Place apart is the atmosphere. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a charming decor that reflects the spirit of New Orleans. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family. In conclusion, if you're looking for authentic New Orleans cuisine and exceptional service, look no further than Mena's Place. From the moment you walk in, you'll feel like you're part of the family, and you'll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. Highly recommended!
