Now that I'm understanding the concept I'm going to be nice and give it 3 stars! The customer service was ok... the guys were sweet but the women on the front end was rude and barely spoke... which is nuts because you have to speak so we can order our food. They are going with the NYC concept so I've always heard they were pretty cold so maybe that's perfect customer service up there but you're in the south so I would love for them to act like it. Then didn't see the glam about the pizza, it was a regular slice with weird pepperoni and a basic drink selection. Few can drinks and they don't even tell you to get them out the refrigerator yourself. So we assumed it and just got our drinks. The set up is nice and basic too. So if you want a basic experience with blasting music that's painful to talk over but a great selection I might add. Then this is the perfect place!

Returned to New Orleans and staying in nearby area. Previously stayed nearby this neighborhood. Was driving around and located this place. Nice local pizza place. Has another location. Affordable, great taste, large slices, variety of pies, variety of sodas. Variety of music may be playing at time of visit. Opened on Sundays and other days. Street parking free on Sunday. Pay to park on street and nearby lot opposite side of street. Arts District. Nearby museums and local stores. Worth stopping by. Sunday afternoons appear to be easy to eat at location. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I honestly have no idea what their hours are. I went there are 7:30 pm last night and they were sold out. fine. I then went today at 11:20 am and they were closed and opening at noon. Is it too difficult to post actual hours to Instagram or Facebook? Edit: Pizza quality has gone downhill and lady at the front has clearly never worked at a pizzeria place before. You can absolutely slightly overlap two plates to hold two slices. What a waste of a box to walk 2 feet. This is a photo from YOUR OWN ESTABLISHMENT in NY where clearly two slices of pizza are on two plates.

I am a long time Paulie Gees fan. My husband and I frequented the original Brooklyn location regularly when we lived in New York. We were thrilled when a location opened in New Orleans. After the initial shock of the different menu at the Nola spot we became regulars. We threw a party recently and our first thought was to get food from Paulies. After a miscommunication with the staff about our order I found myself being screamed at by a staff member of this restaurant. She screamed at me on the phone for maybe 5 minutes. First of all, yelling is never needed, especially yelling at a customer placing an order. Ordering food should be a simple friendly process. After this staff member screamed at me on the phone we decided to go to another pizza joint. It’s sad. We will never go to Paulies in New Orleans again. I know Paulie would never want this for any of his locations. We loved seeing him walking around and talking to customers at his Brooklyn restaurant. I hope for Paulie that the nola spot gets better. We will...

NY style pizza is what your looking for they got it here. Customer service not so great. I wanted extra mozzarella cheese on my slice and they looked at me like I was crazy. I even said I would pay extra for the mozzarella cheese. They tried to give me an excuse and said they are closing up and that the food is being put away. Then they changed there mind and the guy bent down and pulled out the mozzarella cheese and added it to the slice. Was that so difficult to do. Also there was people still inside eating and people picking up pizza so why the excuse and frustration on your customer. I don't get it. Over all it's a good pizza joint by the slice. I would come back again for a NY style pizza here but man the customer service is not...
