I have been twice so I have two different reviews. It’ll be a little long winded. My apologies in advance
My first visit:
I wish I could do 4.5 stars but I just can't give 5 because my table was not ready for my reservation time. My party of 5 had to stand by the jam packed bar while they got a table together. After 20 minutes one of my friends went back to the hostess to inquire and suddenly our table was ready. But anyways, on to the positive!!! It's beautiful here! It reminds me of the Vegas location. I'm so excited for New Orleans to get such a well renowned restaurant! Service was great! Xavier was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu! We tried a lottt of food and everything was sooo good! 10/10 recommend! The only thing I didn't love was the cactus churros because the ice cream was beer flavored. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu honestly.
My 2nd visit:
I still agree with everything I said in my original review but I recently went back and just wanted to do an update because my experience was a little different this time. This time I was only with a party of 2 but somehow I was still told to wait at the bar when I arrived despite having a reservation. The tables for smaller parties aren't nearly as chic as it was last time when I was with a large group. We were in the middle of the dining area and the music was really loud from the outside casino area and we were really close to another table. We ordered the yellow tail jalapeño, the spicy edamame, rock shrimp and tiradito to start. The tiradito looked slightly different from my last dining experience but it was still good nevertheless. We ordered Cod as one of our entrees and about 10 minutes later our server came back and said they were out of it and would we like to order anything else. We said give us a few minutes and we ended up ordering the gambas al ajillo to replace it and then we were told they were out of that was well. Dot dot dot... why not tell us everything that was out before leaving us to browse the menu? But we ended up getting the prime beef again and the Parmesan truffle rice. It was good but it was disappointing that they were out of two entrees we wanted. We got the banana soy toban for dessert. The server told me they would put a candle in it because we were celebrating a birthday but the dessert came out without a candle and she was no where to be found. So, the food we had was good but just wanted to do a...
Read moreI was excited to visit and try out the sushi dishes here as I am a huge sushi 🍣 fan. It is part of Caesar's Palace Casino and offers valet parking for $20. It is located immediately to the right of the entrance when you walk in..
I went with the chef's choice, which is the option that allows the chef 👨🏽🍳 and waiter to select different items from the menu for you that they suggest. They sent out a variety of selections from cold 🥶 to hot 🥵 plate items. You start with a few cold items then graduate over to hot. You give the waiter a budget and they make the selections. I enjoyed everything that was sent out. The BEST item was the Black Cod 🐟 with Miso. Everything came out quickly and was hot when it arrived to the table. It was busy, so to see how quickly each item came out was awesome.
Service was TOP TIER! LaToya & Madison greets you at the entrance and their welcoming spirit is comforting and welcoming. LaToya was eager to meet my needs and do her best to honor any of my requests. Victor was the MVP of the evening. He was funny, down to earth 🌎, energetic, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, informative, and professional. He had extensive knowledge of the menu and gave suggestions and details about each item. He was willing to answer any questions and address any concerns while not showing any signs of being impatient or that he was too busy. Should you visit, I HIGHLY recommend you request Victor to be your waiter.
The food quality, timeliness, and portions was pretty good. The price 💰was definitely excessive in my opinion. I feel it is to pay 💸for the space in the casino. Service was AMAZING and atmosphere is top notch also, but if I come back it would only be for drinks. If you want a high end sushi 🍣 experience, this is an option for you. I would prefer a more affordable sushi place with more reasonable pricing options and items.
Overall a great experience, and a big shout-out to the team who...
Read moreNobu New Orleans delivers a truly elevated dining experience, seamlessly blending the iconic Nobu style with the vibrant energy of the Crescent City. From the moment you enter, the restaurant exudes refinement and modern elegance, offering an atmosphere that rivals the best fine dining establishments around the world.
While the restaurant’s location inside the casino complex adds convenience, the transparent walkway and the passing crowds—along with the bright neon lights—slightly detract from the immersive ambiance one expects from a Nobu setting. That said, once seated, the impeccable service and exceptional cuisine quickly reclaim your full attention.
Our server was knowledgeable, gracious, and impressively professional—guiding us through each course with insight and warmth. The support staff kept the evening running flawlessly, replacing plates and utensils with precision and maintaining a pristine table throughout our multi-course journey.
We chose the chef’s tasting menu, which offered a perfectly paced showcase of Nobu’s signature flavors. While the lobster tail was pleasant though not particularly standout, the black cod filet was nothing short of extraordinary—delicate, buttery, and rich in umami, it was the clear highlight of the night.
Drinks and dessert are not included in the chef’s menu, but our server’s recommendations were spot on. The cold sake selection is well worth exploring and pairs beautifully with the lighter courses. For dessert, the beignet with gelato was a delightful finale—a playful nod to New Orleans tradition with a refined twist.
In summary, Nobu New Orleans is a welcome addition to the city’s fine dining scene. Despite minor distractions from the casino surroundings, the restaurant itself stands as a testament to exceptional service, expert culinary execution, and thoughtful detail—an experience not...
