{petite} maman — Restaurant in New York

Hi there! I would like to share the AWESOME recent experience I had at Maman coffee shop! I was there bright and early as I had to conduct a meeting in the Falchi building. The super friendly, kind and professional WILLIAM was beyond phenomenal!!!! I went in to try the croissants as I’ve heard they were delicious! Right when I open the door, William greeted me with such a warm and genuine smile. His overall aura was unmatched! He truly brightened up my day and made me feel so special! He kindly asked if I wanted my croissant warmed up and asked if I would like to get a drink. I told him that it was actually my first time visiting Maman! He proceeded by showing me some of the best selling pastries and we had such an amazing interaction overall. He even treated me with a little coupon for next time and offered a cup of water! Now that’s what I call top notch service!!!! Furthermore I really loved the atmosphere and ambiance in that coffee shop! Very cozy, beautiful and I love how they have little souvenirs such as bracelets that say “je t’aime”! How adorable! William also shared some of the other locations as I wasn’t from Long Island City! Everything looked so delicious I honestly was ready to devour all the mouthwatering pastries. I sat outside and enjoyed my yummy croissant at their little cool table and made sure to get William’s name so I can write a review on his stupendous performance and kindness but also on the quality of the food and atmosphere! I promised to visit him again when I will be in the area as client experience is key to a successful business! He definitely made my visit worthwhile and I truly wish him the finest in life as he is truly a beautiful soul! Maman coffee shop is so lucky to have him! I kept his card as a souvenir since he gave me such a memorable experience!!! He deserves a billion dollar raise!!! If Google review went up to a trillion stars that it the ratio I would give!!!!! What a sensational experience! Thank you so much for making me happy William! You truly deserve all the recognition and praise in the world! Je parle Francais donc je te dis chapeau a toi William! J ai eu une visite inoubliable et époustouflante! Alors la j’ai vraiment rien a dire! J’étais émerveillé par ce service extraordinare et je remercie William mille fois pour son acceuil chaleureux et sa gentillesse! Thank you again William and thank you team Maman! Showing the empty dish because the quiche was so good! Love this little bakery for its great food (the bacon brioche also delicious!) and pastries that are sinful. Try the chocolate almond croissant, slightly heated. William is wonderful. He’s patient with those trying to decide between all the pasties laid out tempting all tastebuds, and he is extremely kind and friendly. Was worried for a while earlier in the year after having some not so pleasant encounters with a different worker, so now with William many in my office nearby are so happy with the change.

I also love the introduction of new things seasonally and hope this continues. Not that one can get bored with all the great selections now, but it is nice to have new options to try from time to time.

And Finally a bakery that has authentic croissants as opposed to bread that is crescent shaped.

Update: just wanted to share my latest favorite. In all honesty, I never thought a vegan cake could taste so good! I think this apple cranberry cake is overlooked because there are probably many out there like me who didn’t think it would be tasty. William suggested a couple of things for me to try. This was one of them. This place is seriously a gem. Not easy to spot because of the way it’s set in the building, but the tables outside help!

Missing William but love Ryan. The atmosphere of this location is personal. A small venue, but both William and Ryan make it a friendly and welcoming place. My latest love with the warmer weather coming on are the iced teas. mango peach lemonade and the matcha lemonade are delicious. I paired it with the roast chicken with pesto, peppers on a baguette the other day.

Also new is the quiche Sara. This is the best quiche yet!

Update 3: orange blossom caramel cappuccino. my go-to in the morning! Great...

Dropped off my daughter at ice skating camp and looked for a nice cafe with good food. It’s hard to find one in a desolate area. William who works at the maman LIC location made this cafe so personable. He’s lovely, kind and smart. The food was tasty and my coffee was perfect! ( I am very particular about my coffee) after chatting with him I thought he was a manager or director. He is well spoken and knowledgeable about the food and locations and just everything at Maman. He’s esp great at multi tasking with many people at once. But takes the time to make each person feel heard. Truly one of a kind human. He made going to maman extra special. And I went back the following day for more treats and coffee! Thank you William for this wonderful experience. Hope to see you in the city locations managing and doing much...
