I made a special trip this morning to try out these donuts based on their IG photos and decent reviews. Took a while to find parking but I was determined. When I entered I wasn’t greeted, the staff member just looked at me, waiting for me to speak. I told her I had never been here before so was looking over their offerings. She still said nothing. I decided to try several donuts (even though these are extremely pricey!!!!) out because the flavors seemed so different and interesting. When I got home I found that my order was wrong...Pooh. The donuts are big, I guess hence the hefty price but the texture, taste and moistness of the donuts is very underwhelming!! The best was to describe them...is a combination of sponge cake and stale bread. The only redeeming quality of these donuts was the icing flavors. The best donut and perhaps worth the price were the coconut cream because it actually gave enough moisture to choke down the donut. The yeast donuts were definitely different than any other donut I’ve had but not in a good way. The pistachio icing was good, again but the actual donut part...not good. Same with the chocolate, vanilla bean and banana cream. The cake donuts are tiny (but still expensive). The leches cake donut was again dry but where there was a little hint of leche it was decent. Very disappointed, won’t be back. Overpriced, very underwhelming and I didn’t feel like a valued customer...

The manager that works there is a rude and a racist person.

They had a mistake and charged me more than 10 dollars because of their incompetence, so I went there asking for my reinbursment because there's more than one week since it happened and I only have the charge on my account.

The cashier refered me with the manager and he told me that he didn't know nothing about it. He told that probably I willl have my money back in 2 o 3 weeks more which is unbelievable!!

When I was trying to explain him my need... he started to yell me and insult me with bad words... he told me that I have to learn to speak english first and I told him that probably I don't speak english very well because my nationality but he doesn't know how to treat people and customers... I told him as well that he doesn't have manners.

I really was in schocked and so upset for this bad experience and definetly I won't come back ever to that store, and I will tell to all my friends about my experience even in Facebook and twitter because we need to stop...

Doughnut plant is five stars when it comes to their doughnuts. Growing up on the Lower East Side, I've enjoyed Doughnut Plant for years and take guests whenever they come from out of state. The reason for the four stars is that I stopped by today at 10am and they were sold out of Tres Leches and only had one Coconut Cream doughnut. For a place to open at 8am, with a closing time of 3pm, it's disappointing to be sold out of so many doughnuts after just a couple of hours of being open.

I understand that they only stock so many since they want their customers to have fresh doughnuts, and applaud them for not wasting ingredients. Still, two hours is a super short time to have run out. I did notice a lot of pick ups, so I wonder how many of those orders had things that were sold out to walk ups.

If you want delicious doughnuts, I do recommend you going. Their doughnuts are too notch. Maybe order order ahead to make sure you get the...

I was really excited to try these donuts... but frankly felt very disappointed by the lack of flavor... it also wasnt really worth the price too for the lack of specialness... the peanut butter jelly one had subtle peanut butter frosting/crunch on top with a jam inside. It wasn't too sweet but I was expecting more from it. The Blueberry one was nice and very moist... but really small and nothing special. The creme Brule one would have been the best had it not tasted burnt.... the strawberry crumble was horrible, we didn't even finish it. The coconut cream one was... overwhelmingly coconutty and it was just too much. I would come back to try their other donuts but I would err on the side of caution and come with friends so I'm not stuck with a yucky donut on my own...

I usually go for fluffy or chewy donuts, while my wife prefers the cake-like ones. That means we almost never find a donut shop that satisfies us both- but today, we finally did! I’ve honestly never seen a place that nails both styles so well. Donuts are my soul food, and I’m picky about them. It’s not just fried dough rolled in sugar. At least not when it’s done right. These donuts were perfect. The apple pie donut was a touch sweet for my taste, but the apple chunks on top added such a great texture that I still enjoyed every bite. I imagine it would pair beautifully with a simple Americano. I wish this little gem existed in Pennsylvania, but I’m just so glad we discovered such an incredible donut shop within driving distance on the East Coast.
