A Taste of Seafood — Restaurant in New York

Unfortunately the food is not consistent. The last time I ordered. Everything was excellent. This time, the food was bland. The mac and cheese was just creamy not southern baked. Collards was watery and shrimp were not really seasoned and soft. When they finally opened everything wasn't done. Mac and cheese was another 25 minutes. Smh. It never fails....and we have to do better! If u go to a Chinese restaurant and order you will never hear something isn't ready once the store being open for business. As far as the service. Well everyone just seems miserable and unhappy. I was there when they opened so that's how the day started. This energy definitely transfers to the food!

The tone is usually set by management. I wish them well and hope they work on the consistency of the food and overall attitude and tone when dealing with their customers.

Swai Ain’t Catfish—And We Know the Difference

As an Arkansas native, I’ve been eating catfish since before I could spell it. So when I went to Taste of Seafood, I was ready for that Southern-style, crispy, flaky catfish experience. What I got instead was swai—and let me tell you, it didn’t take more than one bite to know something wasn’t right.

Catfish has that firm, satisfying texture and a rich, fresh flavor that stands out. Swai? It’s soft, kind of mushy, and tastes like it’s been sitting in the kiddie pool too long. You can’t fool a catfish lover with swai—it’s like trying to pass off instant coffee as fresh-brewed.

Taste of Seafood, if you’re serving swai, just own it. Don’t try to catfish your customers with fake catfish. We can tell the difference, and it’s disappointing when expectations aren’t met. Do better for the folks who know what real catfish is supposed...

I grew up eating taste of seafood and these last few months has been very unpleasant knowing what the food use to hit for its like less flavor every time I ordered the shrimp dinner with Mac and cheese and collard greens with a side of potato salad my finance had the chicken wing dinner rice and peas and collard greens and both meals with a beverage was roughly $70 that’s a lot on a Wednesday evening and not be able to finish it because it wasn’t tasty is horrible this is the second time this has happened in one week it’s like yall not making the food with love anymore and are just trying to rob the community I see you guys added extended hours could we use this time to season the food and let it marinade, lastly the potato salad was the worse of it all it taste like someone left it sitting out and the mayo went bad so...
