We did the dinner in the dark experience. I think conceptually it was a good idea. They had a space downstairs and they utilized it for this. The servers were great and did a great job with their tasks. But my thoughts are, it was way too loud. They had pop music loudly playing on top of the fact that everyone else was right next to me. I don’t think I like it as a group experience, especially since everything was so loud. The music and the people talking made it hard for me to talk to my friend I was with. It felt like they took away my sight but then doubled down on the hearing so it wasn’t like my sense of taste was amplified. Second, I don’t think the chef used special flavors, which would have been way more interesting. She could’ve gone with citrus, tart, or worked with more gastronomy. The flavors might have really come out since we were blind. The meals were good but they weren’t creative at all. They also chose meals that required sight to cut and eat too. The execution could have been much better.

I attended a cocktail class last night at Abigail Kitchen taught by Svetlana. Really fun, entertaining and (surprisingly) educational event. Svetlana taught how to make 3 unique cocktails, and the 4th bonus one. She used authentic flavor combos and cool equipment. You can tell she really knows her way around spirits and has a smooth way of teaching it. Also, delicious hors d'oeuvres helped from getting too drunk too quickly. I made a few new friends, laughed a ton, and definitely got a nice buzz! Highly recommend this class!

What an unforgettable experience at Abigail's Kitchen! We celebrated my wife's birthday with a blindfolded dining adventure and it was simply delightful. The food was tasty, living up to our expectations. The swift service made the experience seamless, with minimal waiting time between courses. While we wished for a tad more generosity in the wine pours, the overall experience is something we highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique culinary adventure. A must-try at least once – you won't regret it! 🍽️🎉🍷

If you've never eaten a meal while blindfolded (which you probably haven't), Dark Dining is a must-experience event! It's perfect for date night, parties or just going solo - which I did. Chef Abby will greet you personally upon arrival, and she will give you a (new, sealed, sanitary) blindfold to wear throughout the entire evening. Trust me. You won't be able to peek; the covering is so effective, it's pitch black with your eyes open. Lively music plays while you anticipate the arrival of a multi-course meal and wine pairings (the wine is replenished frequently). Having no sense of sight, I found myself using my fingers on more than one occasion! I could hear laughter from other diners as they did the same, literally feeling their way through the dark. Relying on your sense of taste, smell and touch, your awareness is heightened. You are even hyper-conscious of your movements. (Where did I place that Champagne flute???) The food is delicious, prepared from local sources, and at the end of the meal when you are free to remove your blindfold, Chef Abby reveals the menu and the wines. (Not to spoil anything, I thought I was eating one type of protein, and it was something completely different!) The all-inclusive price is a great value, and the chef will accommodate you if you have dietary restrictions or allergies. So, book a space (or a few) at the next Dark Dining event. If I could give this experience six stars, I would. You will have an unforgettable time! Thank you,...

We visited Camaje Bistro for one of their Dark Dining dinners, where guests eat while blindfolded. Eating in total darkness is disorienting, though you grow accustomed to your surroundings fairly quickly. Smells and noises become amplified; you smell your food before it reaches the table and others' conversations are suddenly louder and clearer. The experience is neat though somewhat frustrating; I want to see what I'm eating and not have to grope for my food with my fingers. I also didn't like not knowing what I was putting in my mouth and having no control over the menu -- I far prefer to choose my dishes than have them chosen for me. The food itself was decent though not earth shattering, and everything was served in impossibly small portions. The standout of the evening was a chilled avocado cucumber soup, creamy and tasty. Arctic char was a bit fishy and lackluster, which is a shame for fish with such potential. Pork was tender and meaty, though crusted in too much cumin and bizarrely paired with lentils and bell peppers. Strawberry rhubarb crisp was blah all around; the accompanying fresh mint ice cream was light and refreshing (though served in a thimble-sized portion). The "entertainment" throughout the evening was singing, chanting, and randomly being caressed when you weren't expecting it -- I could have lived without all of it. An interesting experience, but one that...

I went to this restaurant during a "Dine in the Dark" event and I was blindfolded entering into this establishment and when I was escorted out, so I have no idea regarding the decor. We were seated by the staff and the first item that they gave us to taste was garlic bread that we had to crunch on at the count of 3 to figure out the room size. I still do not know how small or large the room was. The garlic bread was very garlic-y and I do not believe it was because of my heightened sense due to being blindfolded. Also the bread was very hard I wish it would have had a soft middle. The next course was a refreshing and tasty avocado and cucumber chilled soup with basil and onions. I really enjoyed the soup. After that we had Atlantic Char that I found to be very fatty with a cabbage salad. Our main course was pork seasoned in cumin along other spices that I had no idea that it was pork and lentils that I found tasty. the dessert was a strawberry tart that was ok with a yummy mint ice cream that they made at the restaurant. The portions were enough to fill me up being that we had 4 courses and the wine pairing was very good. I would just hope that the portions would be larger if I decided to go back there without...
