My wife and I just returned home from eating here for my birthday. To say that we were disappointed, would be a gross understatement. After seating us my wife realizes that her fork has dried up food on it, okay the dishwasher didn't get everything, explainable, when asking for another the waiter looked at it, took it and walked away with no apology whatsoever. After about 20 minutes our waiter and her new fork haven't been seen, to which point I just grab one off another table. At this point we have been there for about a half hour and still haven't ordered anything, so the next time the waiter walked by we waved him down so we could order a drink. While waiting for our drinks we were served bread with hairy butter, maybe a delicacy somewhere else, but I doubt it is in Forest Hills. At this point we start discussing other places to eat and ask to see a manager. The manager nicely comes over to our table and apologizes, tells us the drinks are on him and offers to make up for what's happened if we stay. After discussing it we finally decided to stay. We ordered the raw oysters, escargot, burratta salad, the porterhouse, creamed spinach, and garlic mashed potatoes for a side. The oysters were oysters were alright, the escargot were just okay, I've had way better and way worse, the barruta salad was by far the best experience we had while dining here, the porterhouse was overcooked and the most tough porterhouse I've ever ordered, as for the garlic mashed potatoes, they should have just named it mashed garlic with a sprinkle of instant potatoes. The creamed spinach tasted like it came from a can. Not wanting to give anymore complaints to the staff because the manager was going to "take care of us" we just said everything was okay and asked for the check. When receiving the bill we noticed that the drinks the manager were going to take care of were still on the bill, and the whole taking care of us equalled to 15% Off. So we told our waiter the $24 in drinks were supposed to be removed he consulted with his manager and came back with a new bill a whole $9 less then the last, because the manager took off the discount and comped the drinks. Smh what a birthday treat for me :-/ . If you choose to eat here hope your experience is better but if you are willing to drive a few extra miles for the same priced food just better quality go to S prime...

Had a reservation set for my birthday dinner on 8/27. I live in the area and my friends traveled in for eastern Long Island to help me celebrate. Last year we'd gone to a different restaurant but walked by this place afterwards and said it looked nice, the menu looks good and we should try this place sometime. Fast forward and we were all very much looking forward to dining here. My reservation was for 6:30 but my friends and I always like to arrive a little early and "pre game" with a couple of cocktails. We ordered a round of drinks and I will say the bartender was super nice and the drinks were really good! Unfortunately within the first few minutes we started to realize it was VERY warm in the restaurant and we could tell that the air coming from the A/C vents was not cold at all. I asked one of the waitresses, who had walked over to a serving/water station near the bar if she could have someone please turn the A/C up as we were very uncomfortable. I got a smile and a giggle so either she thought I was joking or just didn't understand what I was asking. Then not just one but THREE of my other friends all asked to please have the air conditioning turned up. We were there nearly a half an hour and not one person who worked there did anything to acknowledge or respond to our request. It was incredibly disappointing. Even more so was deciding to leave and when we told them why (again!), their response? "Oh, sorry". Sorry?!?! The polite (and professional) thing to do would be to apologize, at least acknowledge there's a problem and give a solution to that problem. Just saying you're sorry doesn't make it better. To my friends and I it wasn't worth spending a lot of money on a great steak meal if it feels like you're dining in a sauna. Again, it was just very upsetting because we'd so been looking forward to dining here and we felt as though the management and staff just didn't care to fix or acknowledge the situation. PS - We wound up going back to the (air conditioned) restaurant we went to last year (MoCA Asian Bistro) and had a...

My wife and I came here to celebrate her job promotion. So we both agreed to go for a steak dinner. We are both locals but had never been to Aged, we usually go to CABANAS. So here is the break down of our experience here:

The Good: The wine selection was great and it tasted good My wife LOVES seafood and she was very impressed with the freshness of the oysters. The onion soup was good as well but nothing to rave about.

The Bad: Ok this might seem like a cheap shot-- but how can you tell a customer we can't offer you butter because it's cold. Staff wasn't bad, but not friendly.

The Ugly: When you're charging $139 for a steak I expect perfection. We ordered a Porterhouse steak medium-rare. When the server put the meat on our table we were not impressed by how the meat looked and less impressed by how undercooked it was. We were naïve to think that it would tasted better than what it looked. NOPE, the meat did not have any flavor to it (to be fair the waitress did offer to put pepper on it when she served it to us but a proper steak should be salted and peppered prior to cooking). In short the meat was inedible as it wasn't cooked right, and didn't have any flavor, we didn't get the delicious smell you get from a freshly cooked steak. Plus the texture of the steak was a combination of toughness and mushiness. In short it was just inedible. We sent the steak back to be cooked further, but we barely touched it and just packed it to go. The order came with 3 small sauces I think one of them was cilantro based.

Conclusion: We should've read the reviews prior to ordering steak from here. It's just a shame and criminal to charge so much money for mediocre food. But hey you live and learn. I was so disappointed, I told my wife that we could've had a spectacular dinner for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Plus this experience soured our celebratory spirit that evening. My wife said that that's life not everything can be perfect, and I agreed with her. But it could've been perfect and that's...

Very good. The food was on point; No complaints there. The prices were slightly high given the fact that we were dining on the street and it was cold and windy outside. Pre-covid, we were all able to dine in and get the full restaurant experience all of which is generally reflected in the price. In these pandemic times, we are not able to experience the interior where the ambient would have been more quiet, nicer and much warmer thus it does not justify a bill over 100$ for two people without drinks. The wind and the car exhausts weren't helping either. Thankfully we didn't experience a garbage or cleaning truck pass by. As for the food, the steak was perfectly done. I aked for medium well and couldn't have had it any better. It was served with mashed potato and garlic on top. The consistency of it was outstanding. The truffle mac and cheese was perfect. From the amount of cheese to the texture on the top; it was just beautifully executed. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Seasoned perfectly. The outside slightly crunchy from being fried and the inside still glistening with its juices. We had ordered a clam chowder soup prior. It had a very welcoming taste. The texture of the creamy soup was on point. The amount of seafood in it was perfect. Overall the food was extra ordinary. Once the pandemic dies down this is hands down one of the best places to go to for the quality. The price just barely meets the quality. Slightly lower prices would be appreciated. P.S $4 for a thin, small glass of Coke Cola with 70% ice is not worth it.

If you want a steak house, this is not it. Unfortunately, this neighborhood doesn't have a steakhouse. The place is tiny, uncomfortable seating and below what's expected for a restaurant in this price range. Location wise is great, but for any fan of an "American style" steakhouse, this is a heartbreaking spot. Some of their sides are shamefully small and below average and their mac & cheesy is shamefully executed, watered down elbow pasta with a hint of cheese in a soupy liquid. Stay away from their seafood soup, it has to be the most confusing thing they have there. For one reason or another, someone thought that making a spicy broth with a handful of veggies and a hint of lobster with the would justify a $13 price tag on a tiny soup bowl was a good idea. YUK, and maybe someone should tell the chef that heavy spices is a no no in an American style steakhouse. If I wanted heavy spices I could have walked To half a dozen spots in the area.

I recently had an amazing lunch at Aged in Forest Hills, and it was all thanks to a familiar face—my favorite chef, Lagano! I’ve been to Aged before, but when I happened to recognize Chef Lagano while passing by, I knew instantly that this was where I needed to eat. As a foodie who loves exploring different restaurants, it was such a joy to reconnect and enjoy the comfort food I had been missing. The meal was nothing short of exceptional—every dish was crafted to perfection, just as I remembered. The flavors, the presentation, and the quality were exactly what I was craving. On top of that, the service was fantastic, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Finding my favorite chef closer to home is a win, and I’ll definitely be coming back. If you’re looking for great food and top-notch service in Forest Hills, Aged is the place to be! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like any tweaks!
