Terrible service. If you are not good at being a waitress don't be one. Had this short lady, such a careless person and was content with mediocrity. Don't do that, people go out to have a pleasant experience. My bar is not even that high. First don't have it go 15 min before you ask the person for their order. Once you get the order, get it right. If you don't get it right, apologize and see how you can fix the problem. Sometime throughout the service towards the middle hopefully go to the customer and ask if they want something or just check up on them. At least ask once. When you see the customer finished eating take the initiative to go over there and ask is there anything else you would like suggest a dessert maybe and if none than offer the check. Is that difficult? If being a waitress is not your first choice in life doesn't mean you shouldn't try to be good at it. You should try cause it's your job and the business you work for are depending on you to represent them properly. Stay at it do well at it until you find the job you finally want to do. Your character is being represented. I tried to be good at everything I got paid to do and sometimes things I didn't get paid for. If I couldn't be good at it I simply quit. I probably won't go to this establishment ever again because it's not worth my time and hard earned money. Save yourself the time as well if you're looking for...
Read moreLet's start with... whatever good memories you had at Salty Dog back in the day, well, don't try and revive them. I was in BK visiting my best friend and ultimately met a younger cousin for a drink at old stomping grounds. I have SVT and if or when I have a drink, my doctor said to have a glass of water to prevent dehydration (mind you, I work as a medical professional). After a drink, I asked for a glass of water no problem. 2nd drink, the same. My younger cousin -sweetheart that he is, asked for a glass of water but the bartender AND OWNER said buy one. I decided to speak with the owner saying it was no problem getting a glass of water before because I have a heart condition, but because my male cousin asked for a glass of watee for me he was being charged and his reply was "SWEETHEART, I HAVE BILLS TO PAY. IF YOU HAVE A HEART CONDITION, DO ME A 'FAYVUGH' AND STAY HOME CUZ THE RENT DONT PAY ITSELF". That's nice SALTY DOG, 5 PATRONS left within a few minutes despite reviving your dying/dead bar and dropping over $200. If you had good memories there --- SAVE THEM because your better off doing the owner a favor and staying home. Zero stars was not available Lastly, I have been a long time patron. So this post comes from the bottom of...
Read moreSo I haven't ordered from Salty Dog for quite some time, so was looking forward to a good meal. Ordered around 650p, app says est delivery time at 740p, actual arrival was 815ish. Delivery guy immediately apologized profusely when opened the door saying how busy things were, I told him no worries I get it. Now I understand why he was quick to apologize, and almost run down the hall when leaving - food was pretty much COLD. We had 1 small order of boneless chicken wings, & what came was something that looked like maybe a dozen pebbles in a tin - gone are the days of meaty sized boneless chicken strips, even if cut in half I guess. The burger that came barely had fries (guess they stopped using steak fries), and all of it was cold. Ever have cold fries - then you'll understand. So at the end of the day, we spent $30+ for cold food. I get busy. I get even downsizing portions served. But to deliver ice cold food - completely unacceptable. If there are too many deliveries, get more help. There is a disconnect somewhere and unfortunately the customer suffers because of it. Suffice it to say, it'll be a long while, again, until I ever order (or eat in) at Salty Dog again. That's...
