Loved this Japanese Restaurant. It is a beautiful space. The murals are beautiful. It is beautifully set up. The playlist they had on was very good. The service is wonderful. The food comes out quickly but at a good pace. You don't feel rushed. The food was 😋. I had the lunch special ($16) which includes choice of Soup or Salad, one roll (large selection) and an Entrée (choice of Salmon, Chicken, Tofu and Steak) they come with White Rice and Vegetables. I had the Miso Soup, White Tuna and Jalapeño Roll and Steak. The Vegetables that came with my Steak were Onions and Peppers. I don't know if it's the same Vegetables on all the Entrées. I would think it is. Everything was made to perfection and beautifully presented. They also have other lunch specials and an A La Carte Menu. We only had water but they do have a full bar. Dessert was not included but we ordered it anyway. I had the Mochi Green Tea. The Ice Cream itself was Green Tea and it tasted great but I don't think I would order Mochi Green Tea again. My friend ordered Tempura Cheesecake. I tried a little piece. It was interesting. The Cheesecake was very creamy and sweeter than New York Cheesecake. This place is good for dining with others and also for Solo dining. I have to come back to try some things from their A La Carte Menu and to try one or two of their Cocktails.

The food itself was great. But when we are waiting we found this store also has too good to go option and it was 2.2 points out of 5, so we are pretty curious cuz the food is great, why such low reviews? And once we get it, totally understandable. As shown below in pics First of all, only four small cup miso soup is not even on the menu and they put original retail price for $12 dollars for this, which is ridiculous. Secondly, we are having the dinner in this store and we ordered pretty great amount of food, but this too good to go give us a feeling of teasing us. It’s not for helping environment but for their OWN financial benefit. If the store owner is in such mindset, you shouldn’t participate in this Too good to go campaign which is helping the environment but not wasting so many plastic container for miso soup. We really enjoyed the food here but for such attitude and mindset, we will never ever come back and hope this reviews can help others! Overall I feel really really bad that as an Environmentalist, I’d rather they don’t even give me this bag which cause more plastic trash in the world. If you want to protect the environment, please don’t event order too good to go in this store.

This place is 100% a GEM. I came here after an appointment cause it caught my eye. I ordered the katsu curry lunch special and what a treat it was. The plate came with a soft boiled egg which was boiled perfectly. It was marinated in mirin and soy, very nice detail. The katsu was fried nicely. The chicken was moist and delicious. On the side was Bulldog brand sauce. OMG!!! No restaurant serves Bulldog sauce. Curry itself could have been slightly richer. $16 is ultra reasonable. I needed a little bit extra, so I checked the menu and found chutoro and otoro. That's unheard of...I rarely find any restaurant serving either. Be aware that it is pricy, but it's worth a try if you've never had it before. Staff is super responsive and friendly. When any of the servers saw my cup empty, they'd come over and top me off. The decor is reminiscent of Japan. The wood furniture and amber light really sets this place apart. Glad I stopped in for lunch.

The food itself is fine, but over 2 separate visits (dine in October 2019 and takeout mid June 2020) the front-end staff demonstrated consistency in being argumentive, unfocused, and overall the least friendly I've experienced.

The first visit had issues with the host acknowledging our reservation upon arrival, but telling us to wait another 45 minutes. No reason was given when asked. Once seated in the back room, wait service was equally inattentive. Food quality was good, albeit a bit pricey for the quality with the smaller portion size.

Tried again 2 weeks ago for takeout, and all kinds of wrong seemed to occur for reasons we never understood. For context, all possible awareness and attempts on our side were made to avoid any sort of "Karen" engagement.

Ordered on Seamless at 6p for an advanced 7p pickup. Confirmation from Seamless restaurant received our order at 6:05. Arrived at restaurant at 7:00, host said because we ordered on Seamless, food only just begun preparation. Told us to come back in 10ish minutes or when we got an alert food was ready. Walked around, came back 25 mins later (never got an alert), and was told again by the same host that food wasn't ready yet. Returned at 7:45, the same host went to double check on status, and said we already picked up our food at 7:15. Ok.... Calmly recounted the steps that got us to this point, still confused, so as a solution, we offered to wait again for them to make the order. Now things get really weird as he absolutely refused and said they shouldn't have to. Ok... Giving up, we asked him to just cancel the order, but he also refused claiming he didn't have to because the order was picked up. Recounting the interactions since 7 again, still didn't make a dent in the interaction. After 10 mins, he walked away, and we saw an order cancela pop up on our phone.

I'm sharing this story because it was clear something no good was up. But the fact two separate trips were consitently poor, and this takeout a experience was just so insanely odd, I have to give a...

I hate leaving negative reviews but I feel like I need to say something. CAUTION for those with food allergies !!! I made the simple request for sushi for two without tempura, only to realize one of the rolls had a small amount in it after eating two. I also requested the gluten free soy sauce and clarified that I cannot eat sushi with gluten.

I woke up to a severe allergic reaction in the middle of the night, had to take Benadryl and Advil and this will likely cause me to call out of work tomorrow. I get migraines, flushed face and difficulty breathing. I should've mentioned something to the waiter but about 3 different people came to serve us and I didn't see the guy I ordered from until basically the end of our meal.

Disappointed bc the cocktails were good but if you have a food allergy there are spots that will take you more seriously, and this speaks to the customization of the dishes generally and their attention to detail in terms of ingredients as well. Due to the severity of my reaction I wonder if there was more gluten in something else I ate and now wonder if they even gave me the gluten free soy sauce, or if they forgot that too. Ako down the road was less expensive and better about my food allergies. Did not react to any of the...
