Nestled right on the corner of 58th Street and 9th Avenue just north of Hell's Kitchen this is the best pizza in the area. Plenty of options, fresh and delicious Amoré Pizza really delivers the goods when it comes to pizza and subs and other classic Italian dishes. Their Philly Cheesesteaks are loaded and perfectly flavored and they offer up an Italian Philly Cheesesteak which I haven't had just yet.
I have been going here for the past three and a half years now and I have been very pleased with them. Right down the street from The Shops at Columbus Circle and the Time - Warner building and Mt. Sinai West Hospital they have been churning out some of the best pizza I have had yet in my time of living here in Manhattan. They are easily so much better than the recently opened Justino's right down the block.
You can eat in or out as they offer sidewalk dining or you can do take out. They deliver as well.
They offer up burgers too, but my go-to besides the pizza are their Eggplant or Veal Parmigiana which is their best offering. Cooked to perfection and toasted beautifully and topped with whatever else you'd like. You can even order yourself a Fried Shrimp Parmigiana which I've yet to try, but I will on my next visit for sure.
They also do Salads, Soups and Wraps and have excellent appetizers. I tried their Wings and while they are good they're not quite as good as the Buffalo Wings I have had incidentally in South Florida ironically enough. They're meaty and cooked pretty well, but they're not as good as I hoped for. Their only checkmark against them.
Their real specialty is their pizza and their calzones. Just today ( 10/30/22 ) though I went with their BBQ Chicken and Onion pizza and it was delicious. The sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The chicken perfectly cooked and drool inducing.
They only serve soft drinks and bottled water, but their soda selection is wide and varied. I'd usually go with a Dr. Brown's. I wouldn't mind a beer or a glass of wine, but hey... Que sera, sera, sera...
When my daughter and I go there, it's after picking her up from school and it's right on the way home. Most times my wife will request a slice of their Eggplant Parm they're that good !!
They do catering and special dinners. I've yet to try their cold subs because I am just so stuck on their pizza. Good, friendly staff and decent prices if you want a pizza, say Amoré !! 👍🏻👍🏻
[ Next time I will take some pictures of their...
Read moreI have been going this store since 5 to 6 year before food was good, guys are good but now these days since 7-8 months their workers are behaving badly, the guy who is working in kitchen he always burn the chicken and he never cooked my order properly. Every time I ordered same food but he is repeatedly burning, not cooking properly, messing and when I tell him to correct about that item he is arguing all the time and today he is bringing my food not even cooking properly and it was very cold 🥶 how can I eat cold food? When I request him to make heat 2,3 workers arguing about they can’t make special order how this only 1 items going to be special I am not even eating different different item I am always eating same item but that kitchen guy made my food very badly. This is disrespectful and disgusting I used to go there every single time and I already send there so many friend and families. I always recommend them about Amore Pizza but today I am regretting about all these things 😤 hopefully I am gonna get response from that place owner 🙏 this is my...
Read moreFor years, this used to be my go-to slice place that I would get pizza from once a week. It was great pizza at a good price.
However, that is sadly no longer the case. Over the last few months, although inflation has cooled, Amore has significantly increased their prices. I used to get 3 special slices to go for $16-19, depending on whether I tipped or not. Today, 3 special slices with tip was $27 - more than a sit down meal at a nice pizza restaurant. Just within the last month alone, they have raised their prices upwards of 30-50% per slice. Specialty slices are now $6.99 apiece, before taxes and the credit card surcharge. I can go down the street a couple of blocks and get an equally good slice of pizza for half the price (or less).
Additionally, quality has taken a bit of a downturn. Often times, I can no longer find slices of classics: meat lovers, supreme, pepperoni, cheese, etc.
I really hope leadership takes a look at these reviews speaking to how prices have increased significantly, with quality decreasing, and take action.
I simply...
