Look a the reviews. A bunch of 5 star from tourists who stay at the hotel. Maybe they had an actual good meal! Then, no stair step down to lower stars, just a jump of 1 star. Well, we had a 1 star visit two days ago. The restaurant should be glad I waited 2 days to write the review.
We visited for a late lunch on Sunday. There were a few people dining, and a small family at the bar.
Our waiter approached us and asked us "are we ready to order?" We said 'Yes". Then we watched as he walked around the room, talked to his co-workers for long conversations, disappeared a few times, walked past us three times, THEN stopped to take our order.
We ordered a diet coke, a salad with grilled salmon and a margherita pizza with added mushrooms and pepperoni. I made it clear that the salad was for me and the pizza for my wife.
The diet coke showed up. Then after a wait, the salad showed up. It was very good and the salmon was cooked just as I had asked. But ... no pizza. So we waited several minutes. Then we waited some more, and more. We drank all our water and the woman at the bar refilled our water. Then we finally saw our waiter, and we asked him "Is the pizza coming? We did not order two courses; the pizza is my wife's meal." we were assured the pizza would arrive 'soon". My wife insisted I eat my salad and we could share some of the pizza when it did arrive. So, not happy about it, I slowly started eating my salad. Very slowly. Hoping my wife's food would arrive.
So I finished my salad and there was no pizza. Finally, the waiter reappeared (remember, few people were eating - what was he doing?) And he promised us the pizza would be ready in two minutes. He was kind, gracious and apologetic. But no pizza.
I had started timing the wait when I started eating my salad. The pizza arrived 30 minutes after the salad. No mushrooms of course.
The pizza was really awful. The toppings were ok enough, but the crust was some kind of industrial cardboard. I lift weights; I could not cut the pizza crust. And the slices were scored but not cut. So I used my fork as a lever and fought my way through a slice so my wife could eat her lunch. It was barely edible. The crust was like cardboard, but harder to chew.
We got the bill, mushrooms were charged for. I paid the bill and we left.
The only person I am willing to speak with is the Owner, not the manager. The only comments from the establishment should clearly say "I AM THE OWNER". This was the worst dining experience I have had in probably 3 years. In Manhattan.
I assume the waiter is someone's son or nephew. He should be replaced immediately. ...

Do not waste your time.
Drinks were forgotten, our first server completely disappeared and the floor manager was beyond rude and unprofessional. Arrogant brunette chick with no desire to provide anything resembling a pleasant experience.
The food overall was bland. And we ordered a lobster roll that was just two thick pieces of bread, a few chunks of dry lobster and piece of lettuce. Like, 90% dried out bread and 10% dried out lobster. I took a bite just to see if there was something more inside it…nope!
I asked if it could be taken off the bill after she initially dismissed my complaint. She then had the audacity to tell me that I ate it! I literally pointed to it sitting on the plate. I’m still in shock!!!
Worse than that, one of the girls in our group mentioned there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and she needed to use it. The same manager BROUGHT A ROLL OF TOILET PAPER TO THE TABLE AND HANDED IT TO HER. I wish I was lying. How incredibly embarrassing.
Luckily, the dining room was empty and we now understand why. To the manager tonight, if you don’t want the truth about how your diners are doing, don’t ask. Because the truth is, you’re doing a horrible job and should probably find a job completely outside of...
