If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We placed an order 12:05pm on 9/19/23. We work for a construction company that has a trailer in the corner of a main street with specific instructions in the notes and made it clear if questions please don't hesitate to call. The restaurant did not notify us that the driver was on the way since it was their own private delivery service, and when the delivery guy called. He was struggling to find the place so I am asking him where is he so I can go over to him. He didn't speak much English (which I am totally for hiring people who come here to do better for themselves but he did not even want to try to ask for help to see where he's at and kept screaming and hanging up the phone. I lost my temper at this point due to he did not know how to see how I shared my location through iphone nor listen to directions and it was already 1:15PM. After asking for a refund from doordash I called to complain with the owner or management because if he knows his employee is new and doesn't have the proper tools to maneuver in the city. why not properly train or have a way to facilitate for him to find places. The owner stated you already cancelled the order why do you care? and began to be rude and swear. I let him have it and will never order from this place again. And DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO EVER ORDER FROM HERE FOR DELIVERY, I cannot speak on the food but on the experience of this establishment and his ownership. They are disgraceful and...
Read moreJust had a takeout lunch from Aya Sushi. The rainbow roll and the sashimi (salmon belly, octopus, yellowtail, yellowtail belly, fluke, striped bass) was delicious and fresh. Was even given a free extra eel sauce and extra soy sauce, plus a dessert orange that had been cut in interesting fashion. The portions were perfect for me so I didn’t feel like I had too much or too little…just right. Definitely recommended to any connoisseurs of Japanese cuisine, regardless of living in the area or visiting.
There was a “Ken” in the restaurant while I was waiting for my order. He wouldn’t shut up about the seaweed being inedible, which isn’t true. He probably just ate the green plastic decoration lol. The staff handled this Ken respectfully, and I commend them for the patience they had, as I could clearly see how much love they put into their food. Dealing with entitled people is a drain for anyone owning or working in a restaurant, as it is also a drain for other customers who witness it.
Thanks guys! You did awesome and I can’t wait to...
Read moreI frequently order from Aya Sushi for a quick lunch through seamless. Today is the first time I’ve had an issue when i found a VERY HARD, SHARP plastic within a piece of my sushi today. Super dangerous! Glad I noticed it as soon as it went in my mouth or it could have been a very menacing situation. They really need to be more careful.
On another note, If it weren’t for today I probably would have given 3 stars. The sushi is okay, not spectacular but for the price (lunch special: I get two rolls with miso/salad for 10$) it’s not too bad. Do not order the Udon, it has absolutely no flavor. The hibachi items are also okay but tad overpriced for limited flavor.
Though I’ve never been inside, I’ve passed by a few times. It’s a small cute space. I’ve never seen anyone dining in but from what I remember they do have an A health rating and the space...
