The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review.
Atmosphere: Tiny restaurant, like many others around NYC. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are well designed. The restaurant is sort of clean because they don't clean right away the mess some of the customers leave behind. I went there after busy times, so I had enough room to move around.
Service: They properly handle customer service with an absolute responsibility because they know time is money.
Food: So, their food is pretty good. I wouldn't say it is amazing, but it is pretty good. We ordered the egg noodles, udon noodles, marinated chicken, steak, shrimp, tofu, and shiitake mushrooms. Noodles were a bit overcooked. As a regular guy and for my taste, I don't mind it. However, I can understand professional noodle lovers wouldn't like it that way.
Price: You can tell their prices are a bit high by looking at the "your favorites" section. They advice maximum four because they will give you a small portion. Thus, if you choose four, the noodles would seem complete. Anyway, they are located in midtown Manhattan after all, so I completely understand...
Read moresecond time i’ve gotten food here. first time it was wayyy too garlicky but i think that was my fault for getting pepper garlic sauce and the garlic crisps on top. this second time however is still a very middle of the road experience. i love lo mein just from a really good neighborhood chinese spot. this chipotle-fied lo mein place just doesn’t begin to compare. the biggest sleight is the amount you have to pay to add extra mix-ins, way more expensive than getting different meats in your regular lo mein. not to mention they gave me the wrong mushrooms, the meat was dry and in huge bits, the sauce flavor was meh, and some bits were still cold. i’d give it 2 stars but the employees were friendly and the place is cute/clean. but if you like lo mein you’re better off ordering from ur usual chinese place. it’ll be cheaper, way more items mixed in for half the cost- and you’ll be supporting a local business that’s been doing it right...
Read moreWalk to Wok is my go to place when I’m in the garment district running errands. I really like Asian food and the options also are pretty healthy. You get to start with choosing one of 5 different noodles or you can get a vegetable mix. From there you can choose one of 14 different main ingredients such a chicken, steak, tofu, or a number of things. After that, you have the choice of 5 different toppings if you’d like. I usually get the peanut topping. And finally, you get to choose a type of sauce, and they have 7 different choices for those. I usually get the Bali sauce, it’s just spicy enough.
The staff is very friendly and you can actually watch them cook you’re entire meal through the glass so it’s fun.
The only downside, is that it’s advertised as $6.95 but that’s just for a basic noodle dish without anything else so by the time I was done it actually cost me about $11.00. Besides that, I...
