Ordered through slice with no issue multiple times, then horrendous experience today. Driver called and refused to come into the building, despite $3 delivery fee and $5 tip (I’ve tipped well every time I’ve gotten delivery from here). I say I’m not coming down, that’s not what I’m paying for, he says he’s taking it back.
Back and forth between slice and the owner(over ten minutes speaking to the owner alone, where he accused me of multiple things before admitting that he can’t actually see how much I’ve tipped through third party apps, or hearing what I said about the driver refusing to come inside of my building) and get accused of never answering the phone and them waiting for a half hour (lol), then them not being willing to come in because I never tip before (lol), then they’re not willing to come in because COVID (LOL), to he’s sorry he’ll talk to the driver and tell slice to okay the refund, then when I talk to slice again they say he refuses to give the refund because food was made and he’s going to deliver it now. I say I don’t want it, it was made over an hour ago now, and now I have to escalate with the app for a refund.
Such a shame. Never again.
Edit: Despite managements response below they still have yet to release my funds via Slice or to offer me any compensation for the $40 order that they refused to deliver, and then lied about to Slice about, in an attempt to keep the money. I’ll believe they’re sorry when I get my money back, or they deliver me my order for free, actually at my door.
I’ve worked in food service for over a decade and don’t leave negative reviews lightly. This is unprofessional beyond toleration. Frankly, when I don’t do my job, I don’t get paid. The owner of this establishment obviously feels that he deserves better than that.
WHATEVER YOU DO: Do not order via an app like Slice that claims to be “for small businesses”. When you can’t get your food, this owner will hide behind them to try and keep your money. I have had to escalate this with my bank. I can’t believe a small business owner just convinced me - someone in the service industry for almost 15 years - to stick to GrubHub, since at least then I can get my money back when a business outright refuses to do what they’re paid for and lies to hide it and keep customers’...
Read moreI’m so glad to see I’m not the only one who has noticed a SANITARY issue with this pizza shop. Invest in gloves, or wash your hands every 30 secs. Im calling 311.
The first time I came to this establishment, the white older male who is slightly bald, prepared my pizza with his bare hands. Touching the crust & everyone’s pizza. I told him I do not respect that & wish to have another slice & to use gloves. He apologized, next 2 times I came he made sure to be clean. Today I come, & this other guy, dark hair, male between his mid 20s-30s. Starts touching all the pizza crust with no gloves, then literally wipes the back of his pants near his behind… I called out to the older bald male & told him this is an issue I already had with you guys & I do not respect this at all. I also see a younger woman with a neck tattoo taking orders, touching money, & prepping peoples pizza at the same time without a single glove or hand wash between tasks! Older bald male prepares my pizza & zepolis order, & decides to put the zepoli bag inside/on top of the pizza after I had this interaction with them so when I opened it it completely took all the cheese off…I’m sure that silly decision was not an accident. The service is poor here!
All I’ve been asking for is cleanliness, especially as flu season creeps up, COVID is still prevalent, & I just get looked at as if I’m crazy for asking for something as simple as gloves or frequent hand washing, as you guys have a sink in the front! Not...
Read moreOrdered on UberEats and I regret it. I ordered chicken a la vodka and the a la vodka sauce was literally Alfredo sauce mixed with some marinara to impersonate it. I get it’s a pizzeria, but I know what to expect and what I’m ordering and that was not it. It was more like a Tuscan sauce and that’s not what I wanted. The Caesar dressing was also atrocious for the Caesar salad. It tasted like Mayo and butter mixed with 1/4 cup of garlic powder. I love creamy garlic but A) this wasn’t Caesar dressing and B) this was the worst rendition of creamy garlic I’ve ever had as you can taste the garlic powder in it. Stuffed shells were subpar and were in a watery marinara, my sister couldn’t even finish them. The meatballs were okay and the chicken parm sub was edible. Will not be returning and was very disappointed. I also could not get a refund through Uber as, with their policy, a restaurant’s replication/interpretation of a recipe or dish and not an actual wrong item does not warrant a refund. Sad that money was lost but I do not recommend, even for an easy fix on the entrees and Caesar salad. Cannot say for the other food or pizza but do...
