Read moreThis is my second visited at Black Fox Coffee. They have several locations in Manhattan, but this one feels the most special to me.
Itâs tucked between two tall buildings, where sunlight comes down through a glass ceiling and gently spreads across the whole garden. The store design doesnât use sharp corners. Instead, it follows the gardenâs soft curves in a smooth, flowing line.
The tables and chairs are also placed along the building edges or around plants. The tabletops arenât made from one solid piece of wood, but rather from narrow wooden slats put together. I guess itâs to prevent cracking or warping from outdoor weather.
Thereâs also a small waterfall in the park, made of tall triangular marble columns. The water flows slowly, sticking close to the stone surface as it moves down. It doesnât make much sound, so even if you sit nearby, itâs very quiet. Sometimes little sparrows stop by to drink from it. It feels peaceful, like the water has always been there.
I ordered a iced Honey Blossom Latte 16oz from the Signature menu. With tax, it came to $9.80.
I usually ask the baristas about the beans they use, and honestly, 99.9% of them are happy to share. This time, the beans were called [All Day], mainly used in their lattes. The flavor notes were: Nectarine + Brown Sugar + Smooth. I enjoyed the moment when I was sharing my coffee adventure in NYC with their baristas.
Itâs a washed coffee from Tolima, Colombia. The first sip gives you a light fruit acidity. Iâm not experienced enough to tell exactly what fruit it is without reading the label, but it feels clean and fresh. Then comes the sweetness, a mix of brown sugar and floral honey. Itâs soft, balanced, and really enjoyable.
Oh, and one last thing. The restroom here is huge and super clean, which makes it a great spot to stay...
Read moreWhat just caught my eye was the unisex bathroom. Presumably, this is said to only apply to a privileged few defenders. When people come in, they look people up and down, like they change their facial expressions to express dislike, and if a person uses the facility, it's like they've coming to their own home and it's personal to them.(I'm referring specifically to the cleaning lady that was there on Sunday at 6:00 p.m.) This was the obvious conclusion I came to when I went to the bathroom around 6:00 PM on Sunday. individuals who work there. She yelled multiple times. Telling a coworker about her personal problems. I used the bathroom and I believe it was a Saturday and she was discussing a lot of her personal issues. So I chose to listen to music on my phone while going to the toilet(SUNDAY). I didn't know she was angry last SATURDAY. I never introduced Myself to herself. Clearly, she came to the wrong conclusion. this is her This is her bias. SHE Talked to security, my phone settings were too high(SUNDAY). The problem was there was no one else in the bathroom but her. TO Make such announcements. No one was in the facility except me. The music was not over the top and less than 5 minutes after I got in, 2 minutes. SECURITY burst in like a NYPD cop and knocked on. My door (AS I AM IN SIDE SITING ON THE TOILET). And I had to worry that I was going to be physically attacked by him. One suggestion is that if the maintenance staff stares at people when they go to the bathroom, You can spend better time in the real world instead of arguing with your significant other on the phone. Obviously I wasn't complaining about this as I could hear every word she said and she was very loud when I used the facilities...
