Lived in 505 W 37th from 2015-2016. The building itself is very well-maintained but currently the construction around Hudson yards causes all sorts of noise throughout the day.
Staff was great, the typical response time after submitting a maintenance request was roughly 5-20 minutes.
As for the amenities, the gym is on the smaller side for such a huge building but if you can, go during off-hours. Laundry room can get pretty crowded (about 40 dryers washer units), especially as oftentimes people can be lazy taking out their clothes from the dryer.
Leasing office is directly on site on 1st floor, definitely don't come with a broker unless you feel like...

The front desk staff is friendly and attentive; maintenance is super responsive. Case in point: One night at 4:00am the smoke detector started beeping because the battery was dying. I removed the battery but the detector is hard wired so it kept beeping. At 4:10am a maintenance guy showed up to fix the problem. Wow. All the doormen, maintenance staff, and leasing office staff are very friendly, professional and experienced.
