Tacos Pollo Loco #2 — Restaurant in New York

I ordered two veggie burrito bowls from here tonight. It costs $22. Apparently that is the same price as a non- veggie burrito bowl but anyway, it was two barely filled containers of a small handful of shredded iceberg lettuce, a scoop of rice and a scoop of beans. It was barely a portion for an adult in either container. I called them and with some difficulty, managed to communicate with the woman on the phone and she said to come back and she would prepare new containers. I was under the impression that they were giving me more food. When I showed up, she just gave me two dollars and shut down any further interaction.

The food tastes fine. My issue is with the price for the absolutely inappropriate serving. It was comical. I will try to post a picture here. I have ordered from here before and for $11 gotten a steak platter with a surprisingly huge portion of food and to be charged the same for no meat and barely any food is frustrating. Eventually, after some time had passed, they offered to refund the meal if it was returned but after thinking that returning two dollars was their only solution, it was eaten and they refused to anything further. Just an overall frustrating experience.

If anything , just stay away from anything non- meat, from them I guess. It’s not like there were even many vegetables...

The huge menu sign next to the window of the truck had like 12 taco varieties listed, all at $2.50 per, so I ordered four tacos. When they came out, the woman said I owed her $16 (!). Apparently the truck was not their normal truck, so the prices were wrong and they are usually $4 per, but there was no way I could have known this looking at the menu on the truck, nor was I told this when I ordered. The woman would not budge at all - apparently I should instinctively know that the huge sign with the prices is actually 60% lower than what they're actually charging - so I walked off without the tacos, because that is bs. WARNING! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! My order's been wrong twice now and the on another occasion they just never delivered but took my money. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt as I used to order often about a year ago but in the past 3 months it's been completely awful. Even after calling them to let them know I recieved the wring order, they tried to charge me for coming back with my correct order. SCAM. Buy elsewhere.
