de Mole Brooklyn — Restaurant in New York

(Last visited July 3rd, 2023.) Hanging out in NYC for the Independence Day weekend and we're turning up! We discovered that De Mole in Brooklyn was doing their bottomless food + drinks brunch on Monday because it was a holiday so we made reservations and pulled on up! Here's how it went.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Out in Williamsburg on the corner of Roebling and Hope Street lies this gem. Naturally, there's no private parking so good luck finding a place on the street or a nearby structure to put your fly ride. The restaurant was very welcoming and felt traditional with lots of tasteful Mexican theming. It was brunch of course so it was certainly a party inside, but it wasn't too loud. You could definitely still talk to one-another.

Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but with the speed of which everything was coming out, we were pleasantly satisfied. We had no complaints at all.

Food: So their brunch is bottomless everything. It includes both food AND drink. There are literally 12 different alcoholic beverages you can choose from and rotate between throughout your 2-hour time limit. I stuck to mimosas and margaritas. I was delightfully turnt. Lol. There are 20 different tapas to choose from as a part of your brunch and there's something for everybody! We had shrimp ceviche, strawberry dulce cake, multiple kinds of tacos, Spanish corn, just so much. Everything was good, but nothing was outstanding. I didn't expect that, but for it to be bottomless, the food came out hot, fresh and tasty. Period. I loved this concept.

Value: If you want bottomless food it'll be $59.00 for 2-hours of fresh plates. If you want to add drinks then it'll be an extra $10.00 more. $69.00 for all you can eat and drink is a little steep, but it was totally worth it!

In conclusion, I had a blast here at De Mole for their bottomless brunch and highly recommend it to anyone looking for sample a lot of different flavors. I love not being tied to choosing one entree and one drink option to have repeatedly. Tapas and tasting menus are my favorite ways of dining so I'm glad to checked...

A love letter to De Mole

We cannot overstate how much we recommend De Mole. A few months ago, we visited the restaurant for dinner and were blown away by the exceptional quality of the food, drinks, ambiance, and—most importantly—the warmth and professionalism of the chefs, manager, and staff. It felt like we were enjoying an amazing dinner with lifelong friends.

That experience left such a lasting impression on us that, when it came time to plan a 40-person engagement party, we knew exactly where to go: De Mole. Over the course of a month, we worked closely with Chef Ruth and Alex to design the perfect celebration, from the menu to the drinks to the overall atmosphere. De Mole is not like a typical event venue where you’re given a set menu with a “take it or leave it” attitude. From the very beginning, De Mole made the entire experience about us.

We collaborated on every detail, relying on their team’s wealth of experience to create an unforgettable evening. During the event, the staff greeted each of our guests with genuine warmth, offering them a drink of their choice as soon as they arrived. As the meal began, the team made it a point to check in with each guest, ensuring everyone had exactly what they needed—whether it was more food, a different drink, or adjustments for specific preferences. There was never a moment where asking for more felt like a burden, and the quality of the food and service seemed to keep getting better as the evening went on.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the party, with many asking where we had found such an incredible venue and how we discovered De Mole. We couldn’t be happier to have celebrated our engagement here and are confident that many of our guests will now become lifelong customers.

This past Saturday, I was part of an 8 person boozy brunch/lunch group at De Mole, and it is safe to say that the food, the drinks, and the service all exceeded our expectations.

Brunch deals that include unlimited drinks are common in New York, but the deal often comes at the expense of an actual quality meal. Not here. The tapas format of the meal (small plates to share) was a perfect format to allow everyone a taste of each dish that came. The dishes came incrementally (never more than one item at the table), which kept the food fresh and exciting. The food itself was diverse, and used bright flavors and fresh ingredients – their elote, ceviche, and marinated beef tacos stood out. By the time we left, we had tasted through the entire menu without having ordered any single dish individually (essentially a group tasting menu experience). The staff and waiters were very kind and accommodating, and I think importantly seemed to actually enjoy that we were having a good time. The kitchen easily accommodated two dietary restrictions (gluten free and pescatarian) by warning us of any flour used, by modifying select dishes (such as one serving of unbattered fried fish), or by bringing out extra items to make sure everyone felt included (such as extra ceviche). One server in particular took great pleasure in explaining every dish, and his enthusiasm added to our own festive atmosphere at the table. While the drinks did not stand out as much the food, they were certainly better than most brunch deals I have had – no sugary mimosa pitchers, but genuinely tasty Bloody Mary’s, margaritas, and of course Mimosas and bellinis (but indivudally poured and not crazy sweet).

If someone wanted to get drunk at 2 o’clock on a Weekend with a group of friends, this place would be my recommendation....
