This place gives honest dive bars a bad name. Zero stars if possible. Absolute trash service with no management in sight. No security at the door and selective ID checking at the bar. Insisted on taking my ID with my credit card despite having validated my ID the minute prior, and when I handed the self-proclaimed manager āBrittanyā $50 in cash instead of supplying my credit card and ID (which, looking back, would have led to serious fraud) she returned me incorrect change against a $20, faked being insulted by my accusation, handed me $7 for the beer I bought against said ā$20ā, and loudly demanded me to leave the bar. The guy who selectively checked my ID insisted he never saw a thing (though I know he did), and stood behind me, telling me loudly that it was time to leave. Disgusting and dishonest people. I would have more than happily tipped her $30+ in the standard course of interaction. I called their flagship HQ in Las Vegas, who told me their manager Ian and owner could only be contacted by their website Artist Booking link. I spoke with some law enforcement officers outside, who told me it was a civil matter that required their management to willingly supply video to prove she had done it purposefully. This is sadly a business ran by fraudsters. Itās the principle, not the dollars. As disappointing of an example of humanity as Brittney is, I wish her well with that petty cash and hope she buys herself a sense of value and purpose in this world beyond the callous trickery I saw tonight. People work hard for their money, B. I hope you can learn that one day and feel it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful bar, incredible price for drinks. The cheapest drinks in NYC in happy hour. Staff is great too except the only one huge and rude bouncer. And it was very disappointing. We came about 6-7 pm, and really enjoyed the place and the atmosphere. Nobody checked our IDās. Then we went out for an hour. And when we came back that rude black man asked for ID. Iām not American citizen, and I had just a scan of my passport which Iāve showed to him. He was rude and rejected it. He wanted he physical ID. Which makes no sense at all, because Iām far away from 21 and he saw is an hour ago at this bar. Plus he had seen my passport even with a scan version. So ok we left, which totally cuts off all the good memories about this place. And then Iāve found out that I have a physical passport in my bag. We decided to come back even though we did not want to see that rude guy. So we showed him IDās, but oh wow, that āmisterā did not like my attitude of showing him the passportš«µš¼š and he declined us again. Incredible experience in probably the cheapest bar in NYC. And the bar was not even packedā¦š Honestly, as a business woman, I would immediately quit this person. Because of HIS ATTITUDE the bar lose the money. He pretend that he is the boss and act horrible to customers. I really lived the bar at the first visit, but then I would never recommend it to my friends. Unless you guys change...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible, terrible service. Person behind the bar was unfriendly, unwelcoming and downright miserable. It was the biggest inconvenience in the world for her to explain drinks on offer at the bar or give people eye contact. In fact, life in general appeared particularly painful for her. Perhaps a job as a fulltime mushroom or bit of mould or decay in a dark cupboard would be better suited to her. Or maybe someone who sorts recycling from general trash in a waste processing plant, but I wouldn't want to cause insult to the good people who work in those roles. Card minimum on the bar is $10 (pathetic in its own right). REFUSED to then offer the two-for-one happy hour drink offer at the establishment because of her own misgivings. Such a shame, as this dive var sporting a tucked-away beer garden would otherwise be a...
