The worst place for ADA accommodations.
I had called twice and emailed the day before to get accommodations for my torn MCL and arthritis. Both invisible disabilities but need accommodations nonetheless. I did not get a response to my inquiries. I attended a concert on 4/13 and I went to the hostess and explained i reached out had no reply and need accommodations cause I cannot stand on the line nor stand in the venue for too long. She told me she would put me in a reserved section (it's a couch) I asked about if there was an ada line and she told me to go back outside and she would be out shortly. I had to stand on line for 40 minutes. My mcl sore and back hurting, led me to be so nauseous from the pain I had to sit on concerte floor outside for relief. I asked twice while online to be accommodated. It was not until after 40 mins I got to sit inside the bar. Once we were let into the venue. My seating was at the entrance of the stage. Meaning everyone thst passed bumped into my injured leg, i could not see the stage, i could barely stand up either cause all the space was taken by other people. This place has no accommodations whatsoever and they are legally required. I have every right mind to seek legal counsel since I had to stand and endure pain, as well as get hit and blocked by every person in front or passing me. It put more than a damper on my evening and my body is in so much pain today because of it. They could've put a rope around the couch or something. But I was sincerely neglected of the needs I requested and did due...
Read moreSecurity guard told me that it was a cash only fee and that if I went in ten minutes later the $10 fee would go up to $30 at 1130 so the guard let me in quickly to use the ATM and pay in time which was very nice of him. After taking $20 for me and my girlfriend with the money in my hand at 1121 the hostess said I could not pay early and I had to pay the $60 total. After saying that the gentleman at the door said otherwise who was standing there to tell her to charge us $10 each she immediately got snotty saying if I have to repeat myself that there's going to be a problem after just asking why I had to pay so much when it wasn't 1130 yet. She continued her rude behavior by stating that she already told us 5 times immediately and was saying that there was 500 other people that she had to say that to. She basically instantly started threatening to kick us out just for asking and also mentioned our "level of education" after I told her that I only asked once more and that I did not ask her five times in a row as to why I had to pay the extra $20 each. I know clubs like pacha have deadlines for certain times to get people to come for the earlier cheaper price when I used to do promotion but this place was wrong to try to swindle me out of cash. There's no guest list, no celebs, so don't act...

There are fewer places in the four boroughs where the door staff resents guests more. Coupla years ago, I showed up to see an artist (the one whose 9:00 show they haven't let us in yet to see, as a matter of fact), I misresd the ticket, and arrived here instead of the Bowery Ballroom. The woman at the door looked at my ticket and blithely checked me in. When, 90 minutes later, I realized I had just seen two acts I hadn't paid to see and I realized I had blonde momented the thing, when I asked the woman at the door why she hadn't sent me out to where I was supposed to, she snarled at me and said it wasn't her responsibility.
Glad I didn't buy any drinks that night.
There are better spaces acoustically, and for Mercury Lounge to sell tickets on Ticketmaster is offensive on its face and for the ~$8.00 you pay to wait outside because they do a bad job managing appearances.
You've...
