Placed a phone order on Sunday 9/8/24 Black pepper chicken, with vegetable fried rice. That’s it.
The guy answering pretends he does not hear me, & tries to force me to accept white rice. I guess he thought I would not want to pay the $2 up charge, but yes, I was perfectly happy to pay. It’s what I want after all.
So finally he acknowledges that I want what I want. Ok.
I walk in just a few minutes later, and say hello. He recognizes my voice, & dramatically points to the staff behind him and says we’re too busy, saving face for the dismissive tone over the phone. Still, I’ve never been to this place, and right now he’s mocking if not taunting me for insisting on vegetable fried rice. Utterly ridiculous.
But I offer him a polite smile and sort of shrug off the whole thing, after all we are on the same page now
I sit down quietly, playing with my phone as customers come and go, finally he calls me up. As I’m getting up, he says to me, actually they got the wrong rice, and says it in a way that makes it seem like my fault lol.
I’m still fine with all of this. I took pity on how hard the staff was working and so I tell the guy, it’s alright man, give it to me, whatever it is I’ll take it.
The mindless buffoon at the front tells me “ok you come back here, come” “go look” Then starts to actually (attempt to) repeat my last sentence, he’s 100% mocking me
There’s no sympathy left at this point, I know English is not his first language but this is beyond the language barrier, he had his heart set on having a problem with me.
A customer standing next to me at the counter as this was playing out, told the Chinese food employee that I was trying to unburden them by accepting the incorrect order as it was. I said the same thing.
The Chinese food employee continued acting belligerent and telling me to take his place behind the counter.
That was the last straw for me, cursed him out, told him to keep the food, and walked out of there. Never setting foot in there again. The levels of disrespect were just confusing. Moments like these really...
Read moreThe food at this restaurant has become really poor. They don’t season the food at all, so the food tastes very bland, boring, and dull, like mush. The Egg Foo Young is very sloppily made. It is supposed to be thick, fluffy, round, & have good seasoning. What they serve is flat, very tasteless and looks like a poorly made dark brown mushy omelette. It is bland, boring, & tasteless. It has no seasoning & no taste. It has none of the traditional egg foo young taste or consistency. The shrimp fried rice is NOT fried rice at all. It is boiled, tasteless, undercooked very plain yellow rice with a few bits of diced carrots and peas from the frozen food section. They pack the rice with big chunks of diced, under cooked onions that they think passes for seasoning. It doesn’t. The onions are fillers because they’re cheap. Both the rice & chunks of onions are undercooked. The food here has become so much worse than ever before, and it’s all at a higher price. It’s a real shame. This restaurant should be ashamed of itself to serve such poor...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from this place for years. However, they changed owners, and things have gone downhill ever since. When I place an order, it’s never anyone at the actual location. My call is redirected to some Chinese food call center, and most of the time, the orders are messed up. You must order in person to ensure your order is accurate. Even then, the food is consistently dry. When you request extra brown sauce, they don’t add any, and it still comes out dry. They’ll even try to charge you for it as an extra side. If you meet the minimum requirement for a complimentary drink, they won’t offer it to you upfront. Instead, you’ll have to request it. the female worker at the front counter is very rude never smiles or greets and the male will laugh at your requests They’ll close an hour early whenever the business slows down. Says free delivery but always wants at-least...
