There exists a large range of places that exist somewhere between three and four stars. I'm going to be nice to these guys though, as they have some good stuff going for them.
First of all, they're open late. This is important in a neighborhood that doesn't have a lot of late-night eating options.
Their tacos are decent in taste. I don't know the name of it, but I've seen a lot of places that use this sort of pre-cooked meat that is put on to the griddle and cooked up. It always tastes decently, but never as good as fresh. But at midnight on a Wednesday, one can only be so picky. The fact that they jam-packed the taco with lettuce and cilantro was nice.
The salsa verde was sort of bland, but then they have this orange/red chipotle cream sauce that was amazing. I doused the rest of my taco with it, and life was good.
The torta was also pretty decent. Being that it was a bakery, the bread was soft. The rest of the torta was pretty decent. Not overly great, but I'd order it again.

I left it on the counter by the cashier.

After sending his film to the store in Brooklyn, we went to a local, humble tacqueria in the borough. The lady who served me and my friend was so nice and humble. My friend had to comment on why I gotta order a burger and fries in a tacqueria. But I got the food anyway and it tasted so good, with authentic ingredients only found in an A-grade tacqueria. I would go back and order again another time. In my friend’s case, he enjoyed his food so well that he ordered the same dish twice - and finished it clean. The place has a home vibe and I don’t mind...
