Not bad, but nothing unique or spectacular! Pricy.
First, I think they are very overpriced for the neighborhood, type of food, and service they offer. The whole "package" did not match the prices.
Second, we were the only table on Sunday evening; I hope that's only the case for that particular Sunday (and no, that was not a holiday).
FOOD We came to this spot for oysters. The oysters were okay, but half of the oyster's menu was unavailable, and the ones we tried were very salty (but that's not the restaurant's fault). The oysters were overpriced for the neighborhood. If I remember correctly, the price per oyster starts at $3,75… That's Manhattan's rate, not Brooklyn's, or you need to be a spectacular place in BK for that rate, where you pay for the location, the view, or/and how popular the place is.
I was disappointed with Hamachi. The price was way too high for what it was! At least, what I have seen in other places was much better.
The octopus was well made and tasted delicious, and the squid ink humus was fantastic! We loved it.
The lobster roll was okay, but again, nothing outstanding that could have a wow feeling.
SERVICE There is not much service to value. The one hiccup we had was that the waitresses asked us if we were Russians (none of us are), which was disturbing, given the political situation. And it was early in the evening when we just got seated. I personally have no reservations about that, but some people at the table got a bit awkward.
One other thing: the waitress was also a bartender, and she messed up tequila with Mezcal.
Other than that, it was okay. However, I cannot properly value service here because there is not much to value or be objective about.
AMBIENCE Lovely and pleasant! But it was empty! We were the only table on Sunday night. They have a beautiful bar setting, and for a glass of wine with oysters, you will surely enjoy your night.
I found this place somewhat good, but I did not have a spectacular experience. They tried to do well, and you can see attention in their dishes, but somehow, they did not get it 100% right! Maybe that was an empty night on Sunday, and that did not allow us to see the full potential...

Came here for Happy Hour oysters and when we ordered the first batch, they were great and delicious. However it took them 20-25 min to bring out the oysters and the soup that was ordered AFTER the oyster order, came out first ( I found it weird but shrugged it off) then when we ordered the second batch of Happy hour oysters, we got a WHOLE different batch of oysters when I specifically asked for the SAME oysters as before. When we asked the waiter if the oysters in front of us were different than the first batch he said yes. But he never once told us they were a different type of oysters and when we brought up the situation again when the bill/check came, he only offered us 3-4 more oysters to make up for it OR a shot. Claimed the manager wasn’t here, couldn’t call him and it was set in the system, nothing can be taken off or no discount can be applied.
So…this was not a pleasant experience. This was our second time there. First time, we had an okay/good experience, the only thing we didn’t like was the credit card processing fee which is NOT posted anywhere, menus/walls, restaurant. But we paid it and shrugged it off, debated on going back.
Months later, we decided to go back and that was tonight. Very bad customer service. Food was late, wrong food came out, horrible excuses/reasons from the waiter about not being able t contact the manager or fix the situation.
You can’t be doing this to customers and think you will get away with them not noticing.
**the picture posted is the first batch aka the correct oysters, did not take the picture of the second batch but they looked like blue point oysters (waiter said it was another type of oysters, did not remember the name but it tasted bland...
Read moreTotal rip-off for very mediocre food and touristy like atmosphere.
I was very excited to come here after looking at the beautiful pictures and reading the glowing reviews. Unfortunately the reality left a lot to be desired. Everything was underwhelming and on top of that incredibly overpriced for what you get. We got two drinks, lobster bisque, lobster ravioli and seafood salad. The $18 drinks were nothing special. Lobster bisque was very over-salted and even if it wouldn’t be - did not really taste like lobster. Lobster ravioli were also over-salted, the ravioli themselves were too thick and chewy, and the sauce on them looked like this plate has been standing there for a while waiting for us. The seafood salad had the potential of being delicious but really did not have much flavor outside of a very basic green salad with some mango pieces and raw fish thrown on it. The only good part of the meal were the oysters - and yes they were expensive -3.75 each - but at least you get what you pay for. The atmosphere felt like it’s a place that’s trying hard to be cool and pretend that they are a fancy bar in the middle of Manhattan. Clubby music is playing semi loudly, some dishes are served in lit up blue light, the waiters are in black uniforms, etc. It’s a vibe for some but not for all. Ultimately it’s all just not worth it. We paid $180 dollars for 2 appetizers, 6 oysters, 1 pasta dish and 2 cocktails and nearly all of it was not satisfying. Bottom line - don’t be fooled. Siren - if you want to charge these prices - that’s fine but make it worth it. Service was indeed good, no complaints there, but need to really up the game in the...
