Drip & Blend — Restaurant in New York

I really want this place to thrive because of its options and is nearby to me. But if the owner reads this I hope they respond to my questions at end. The place is small and tight with cute seating upstairs. Everything looked fresh and clean. Counter people friendly. I wanted Cheesecake waffle. First time I visited they said they didn't have the cheesecake. Second time - this time - they took my order, but midway said - no cheesecake. want Oreos instead? Really? I order a steak and you wanna know if I'll take a hotdog as substitute? Took the Oreos anyway because I wanted a waffle. Fresh, ripe, sweet, sliced strawberries on top. The liquid chocolate is literally crack cocaine. As much as I didn't want to keep licking it off the waffle the more I did. And but now I learned I've got to tell them I want my waffle well done (yup, like a steak again, gotta know the nuances), because I assumed all waffles are almost browned and crispy on the outside, this one was soft and tan. So I enjoyed the dark and white drizzled chocolate immensely and the strawberries and the oreo cookie. To my questions - 1. how often is the waffle batter mix changed? 2. The cheesecakes and other cake slices on display, how often are they changed? (3. And why didn't the person just cut up one of those slices for my waffle? Yes, you might usually use prepared cubes, but...) . I will try the place again for my cheesecake waffle, and also specify well done. If I get what I like, all's good. (Don't put cheesecake waffle on you main menu to not have it consistently) If not I'm gonna hafta come back here and leave another review to balance the...

This is a very welcome new addition to the neighborhood and convenient to those who are going to/from 4th and 9th stop.

Service - Very friendly, family run business. They’re keen and providing great service and in my two visits they’ve succeeded.

Smoothies - I’ve mainly ordered these and it’s so great to see all the fresh ingredients and additions all in view. The Super Green smoothie is a favorite - I can taste all of the real flavors coming thru and it feels like a meal.

Sample iced cream/soft serve/gelato - they make this on-site and have cool machines in motion. I got to sample the salted caramel and it was really yummy. Not quite gelato but more like really fresh soft serve.
