Note: this rating is solely based on my experience ordering a steak quesadilla. I needed to buy some time and Mexiana happened to be on the way to my destination. And as a mexicana, I had to check it out. Mexiana is perfectly located off of the R NW exit. The outside is decorated with tasty menu options. (I only saw stairs so unsure how accessible it is.) Upon entering the shop, there were several folks waiting for smoothies and food orders. Since I was looking for a snack, I ordered a simple steak quesadilla. The woman at the counter was kind. Thankfully, I had time to spend but I did wait on one steak quesadilla for roughly 15-20 minutes. I was expecting melted cheese and steak wrapped in a flour tortilla instead, I got a corn tortilla with cheese, steak, and lettuce. First, I love corn tortillas and actually prefer this vs a flour tortilla. However, I was surprised by the lettuce. I believe a steak quesadilla should just be cheese and protein, the extra should be on the side. Also, why add ā€œtoppingsā€ to quesadillas? They are perfect without it. I was hungry so I still ate half of the quesadilla (a pretty good chunk!). The green salsa was the best part. Next time, I’d order without lettuce.

Tried this place out after walking past many times on my way from the gym. I wanted something high in protein and saw they have bowls and decided to get the jerk chicken bowl. It was delicious, fresh and a nice size portion. Plantains were perfectly ripe, avocado was fresh, everything was good. Jerk chicken has a little kick to it but not overwhelming. Might be a new go-to for an after gym refuel. Update: Back again for the post gym refuel and this time I got a salad. The avocado salad with salmon was delicious, fresh and well seasoned. It’s a decent portion and the salmon lasted until the last bite. I like that they actually seasoned the avocado and salmon because a lot of places don’t.

Was craving tamales, and Mexiana came up on my search on my walk home. Service was patient while I perused the menu, ordered for takeout, food came out pretty quickly. The tamales roja were very flavorful, had the perfect amount of kick — if there was more cheese, these would be perfect!! 2 tamales filled me up. My partner had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce, and he raved about them. He’s much harder to please coming from his Tex-mex repertoire, so we are thrilled to have this be our new spot. Affordable and...
