EJ BBQ & Sushi — Restaurant in New York

We were looking for something nearby and found EJ BBQ Sushi based on their great reviews. We were a bit taken aback when we arrived at the front door as it’s not fancy at all and the table was a bit sticky. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating – except when we were looking to get the check which took 15 minutes – not sure why, it wasn’t crowded. The fried pork gyoza was good and so was the miso soup. Miso soup usually only comes with an entrée but they comped us a miso soup even though we ordered a la carte. We enjoyed the California roll, American sushi (special ordered tuna salmon yellowtail) and beef japchae. The portions and sushi quality were good. The beef on the japchae was very tasty and came with the usual comped Korean side dishes of spicy and pickled items. The mango mochi wasn’t very good so we’d definitely skip that. It was affordable and a great choice for nearby FIT students (who will also get a discount). We would return if we were in the area and looking for affordable sushi but would not go out of...

I found this restaurant early this year when I got off work one day, and I come to eat here EVERY week since then. No kidding, I love this place. The food is very authentic, the music here is always a happy surprise to my ear, price is very reasonable, and mostly importantly - I LOVE the owners here! I speaks a little bit of Korean so they were kinda shocked the first time I say hi to them in Korean. But even if you don't speak any of their language, they are always so freaking nice and kind!!! They have a lot of returning customers, they chat with everyone that comes in and treating others like their friends and family. They learned my name the second time I came, and now I have been coming here for about 3 month straight and they are seeing me as their little sister. I will keep visiting this place and bring my friends here too. I hope they are doing well and their business is growing....

I was very excited to try this restaurant. I did some research on Google Maps and found this gem. I was impressed with the interior of the restaurant, it has such a lovely and pleasant décor. Luckily it wasn't that crowded when I arrived, I didn't have to wait a long time for my order to be taken. The waitress mistakenly took my order twice because she heard my order wrong (I said: J17 and G17 I even pointed out on the menu what I wanted, she takes J7 and D7 🥺). then she corrected the order and everything okay 👌 I found the attitude of the chef who prepares the sushi very sweet! He's very happily greeted me and a very sincere smile 🥹 I also ordered Beef Teriyaki and the meat was really tender and delicious ！！！If you are close do not hesitate to come! The prices are affordable and the food is delicious 🫶♥️ I will recommend this restaurant to my friends and family, I will be back soon to try...
