Outstanding Coffee, Thoughtful Treats, and Genuine Enthusiasm
Seven Grams CaffĂ© on 7th Avenue has been a cornerstone of my visits to Manhattan, and now I can confidently say their Madison Avenue location matches the exceptional quality and charm. This cafĂ© has become a must-stop for me, and itâs easy to see why.
This morning, one of the staff members remarked, âIâm just excited by your enthusiasm for our product.â I couldnât help but respond, âWell, youâre obviously enthusiastic tooâyou called it âourâ product.â That sense of pride and ownership is tangible here, and it shows in everything they do.
The coffee is simply superbâexpertly crafted with care and precision. The desserts are more than just indulgences; theyâre thoughtful and conscientious creations, as pleasing to the palate as they are to the eye.
The teamâs range of expertise is impressive. At their baseline, they are knowledgeable and competent, and at their best, they are as enthusiastic about their craft as I am about enjoying it.
If youâre in the city, take a moment to stretch your legs and your coffee palate. Seven Grams CaffĂ© offers more than just coffee; itâs an experience youâll...

Iâve heard about the chocolate chip cookies, and I am kind of a cookie connoisseur ;) there was a lot of chocolate in this cookie. Almost too much, and I love chocolate! I wonder if it was filled? The dough outside of the chocolate was not too sugary, like a light shortbread, then an actual chocolate chip dough. IMO nothing better than levain or culture espresso.
The white chocolate cookie actually had a better flavor overall. And I enjoyed the balance of chocolate to dough more than the CC. Light matcha flavor, not overpowering at all.
The chai was âmedium,â rating as it was more milky than spicy and when getting a chai, the spice is what makes it nice. It was refreshing since it was iced but I figure it hot would be less enjoyable.
The HC was solid, above average, but not life changing. I would get it again if Iâm the area.
I got all this to go, the ambiance clean and relaxedâŠseemed like locals enjoying their Friday afternoon. Employees were very courteous...

I was actually headed downtown to try out another coffee shop I bookmarked on Yelp, and I stopped dead in my tracks when the sign outside Seven Grams referenced a "Lavender Oat Milk Latte" -- cue heart eyeball emoji x500.
I start most mornings with either a hot black coffee or an iced black coffee/cold brew, so a latte wasn't what I was hankering for, but I'm an animal so I ordered the Cold Brew to sip on my commute and wrapped up an iced lavender oat milk latte and saved that for my mid-day caffeine refill.
I would repeat this any. day. of. the. week. It was absolutely perfect and was totally unplanned. And my quest to find the best of the best coffee shops has me mapping out which new place I'll be setting off to that day well before I step off the train each morning.
The service was friendly and I was in and out nice and quick - best case scenario during the rush hour commute. Smiles from staff, smiles from caffeine, smiles from a sunny morning in NYC.
Definitely check this place out. I...
