Emblem — Restaurant in New York

Showed up for Sunday Night Football and the bartender waited for us to order drinks to inform us that NONE of the food options were available except for one - wings. Ok. They did turn the volume for the game on the speakers, that’s where 1 star comes from. Bartender comes over around the beginning of the second half and asks if we want another round. Shortly after serving another drink and closing us out (so after giving me a chance to tip) she comes by and says she is closing the place in 10 minutes. Keep in mind this is a SPORTS bar and they are closing an hour before posted closing time, during the 3rd quarter of a prime time football game with playoff implications. So we’re forced to miss a significant part of an important game. Yesterday I stumbled upon Emblem in search for something quick to eat, needless to say I was famished. Upon arrival I was greeted by Isabella, who immediately welcomed and offered us refreshments and menus while we made ourselves comfortable. I ordered classic staples a burger, curly fries, sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese, paired with a perfectly crafted aperol spritz. Now I would be lying if I said that was all, but it wasn’t… you see the playlist was so good I ordered another drink just to keep the jam session going. Overall, I would suggest Emblem to every New Yorker, specially those who like me consider food a love language because being at Emblem made me feel like I was on a vacation in my hometown which goes to show that the hospitality is unmatched.

Amazing place with amazing hospitality! We were a group of 6 looking for a place that could sit all of us, and the staff graciously stood up from their own seats at their table so that they could fit all of us. Our food and drinks came in so quickly, and the staff would regularly check in on us if we were okay. We immediately felt like we were family here, and the music here is A+! I forgot all of the COVID craziness was happening while we were here (even though this place is ridiculously clean and all employees were wearing masks) because of how comfortable we felt and how friendly everyone was here, and that's what hospitality is all about.
