This was my second time getting my hair cut with Boris after first seeing him at my local barber in Morningside Heights. His new location in Williamsburg is in a prime spot and the slightly higher cost and commute is worth it.

On top of being a talented barber, he’s extremely personable and checks in at different points mid-cut to make sure you’re getting what you want. The first time I saw him, he even offered to make changes to my cut at no additional charge if I decided I didn’t like it a week later.

The Razor Doc definitely provides a first-rate experience—on my visit, he played jazz and has TV in the background for customers, offered me something to drink, gave me a great rinse & shampoo, and applied high quality hair products after the cut. They also have a nice rewards program for return customers.

Borus is the best barber I have ever received a haircut from by far. Whenever I am in New York I make sure to have Borus take care of my haircut. He is impeccable with doing all different hairstyles I have requested catering to long or shorter hair. He is fantastic at doing High, medium and low fades and excentuates the fade well by taking the time to layer it properly. The environment he sets is always fun and the music or conversation is something that I look forward to when I come back.

Borus is also great at lining my beard and framing my face to what I request and sometimes give me good recommendations for things to try that I have never thought of which I believe turned out great and I have changed the way I have my beard look.
