New Mexico Place — Restaurant in New York

I ordered from New Mexico Place on Friday March 12th 2021. I ordered pick up through door dash totaling almost $50.00. I ate the food and woke up the next day with Food Poisoning/ Stomach Flu. Vomiting, runs, sharp abdominal pain, muscle weakness, chills, cold sweat , headaches, muscle dehydration you name it!!!! The symptoms progressed during the week. I had to go to the hospital where I was diagnosed with Viral Intestinal Infection aka Stomach Flu!

New Mexico Place was the only meal I had that day! I was perfectly fine and healthy until I ate from this place. I haven’t been myself since I ate from here. All parties that ate some of the food we ordered that night from New Mexico Place have Stomach Flu Symptoms as well. All of us are still sick till this day and experiencing some lingering food poisoning symptoms.

I wish I never gave them a shot! Consumers beware!!!!!! Big red flags!!! Stay away!!!!

If you want Americanized Mexican food (TexMex), this is the best place for it. I had a barbacoa and lengua taco: it was topped with shredded lettuce, tomato and some weird watery white sauce. Both meats were over cooked, dry and too salty. Also they did not give you any hot sauce (salsa verde or salsa roja) with the tacos. But they did give me one single half of a lime wedge for both tacos (so generous!). I also got a bierria quesadilla thinking, like all other places that serve bierria tacos/quesadilla/etc that it would come with consommé, but alas you actually have to pay extra for it. Never will I ever order from this place again, especially for the price point. It's not at all cheap for what you actually get. It's really a glorified taco bell. I'd much rather eat a crunch wrap supreme from taco bell for a fraction of the cost than any...

While the small family business makes delicious authentic Mexico food, delivery takes 2-3 hours if your food comes at all. We’ve ordered from them a handful of times from DoorDash and directly in their website via menustar. My orders have been canceled 2/3 times I ordered on DoorDash. They don’t answer the phone when I call - Aaron will call and they answer right away.
