Went twice, once without reservation, once with. I don't really know if a reservation was needed as it wasn't really crowded. This is what we ordered: Colony Pizza : 6.5/10, it was a little greasy, the honey was a really good addition but it was also unexpectedly spicy. Cheesy Garlic Sticks : 7/10, pretty good but the cheese was really thick and a lot to eat if you order several apps. The garlic flavoring is really good tho. Would get again Zia Fries: 8.5/10, really good however the second time was super salty. the fries are very crispy. The first time came with cheese sauce but the second time came with some sort of white sauce (?) - second time I'd give a 7.5/10. Le Big Matt Burger : My friend got this burger and they gave it a 7/10 with the following reviews: "Solid 7 it's a pretty filling burger and the sauce has a nice kick. Was expecting a bigger portion for the burger and there could have been more sauce added to it. The bun was slightly burnt but very trivial and could be a plus for those who like a bit more of a char taste" Chicken Parm Sandwich : 6.8/10 - it was a little much, the cheese wasn't bad but I think it's a lot as well. It was also a lot of chicken which is a good deal but I couldn't finish the entire sandwich. only half.
Drinks: Emotional Damage : 6.5/10 - I knew it was going to be a little sour, but it was extremely sour at first sip. still a little refreshing but nonetheless sour. Not from the Stand : 7.5/10 - this was very refreshing, not as alcohol tasty as one may like, but I don't exactly love the taste of alcohol. would get again. Paloma : 7/10 - I don't really remember the taste of this as I got it in 2023, but I think it was pretty good. A little heavy on the alcohol but I'd get it again.
Service: At the beginning, when we first seated, our server did kind of feel like he was rushing us, came over twice while we were reviewing what we wanted to get. I asked about what drink to get as I wasn't too fond about the taste of alcohol, and I asked which he would recommend, but he said it differs person to person, he recommended the emotional damage which wasn't bad but a little too sour for my taste. While dining, they did drop by a couple times to ask about our experience and stuff. It wasn't too bad but we felt a little rushed.
Overall, I would come back again but I also want to try the other Emmys Squared...
Read moreI rarely stray away from simple pizzas. I normally just get cheese or pepperoni, as the opportunity cost of trying a new pizza and not liking it is just so damn great. Some of y'all do SO much with your pizza smh.
There are few things better than bread, cheese, red sauce, and some pepperoni done well. Simple, yet effective. Oddly similar to my mid range jump shot...
All this to say, my girlfriend really wanted the Colony pizza from Emmy Squared, as she is far more adventurous with her pizza. I realize this only adds honey and jalapenos to a pepperoni pizza ahahaaha but still, I was nervous. Plus she was buying so what was I really gonna say lol.
Upon opening the box, I was hopeful. It still looked delicious. I mean it literally just adds jalapenos to what I normally get so...... I know I'm nuts, but I can only be me.
After ripping into my first bite, I got a mouth full of jalapeno so that threw me off a bit, but I composed myself and kept forging on. I ended up eating 3 slices, and was gonna go for 4 but didn't want to be a little piggy wiggly because I'm tryna be rockstar skinny. I prob shouldn't be eating pizza when I'm tryna be rockstar skinny, but here we are.
I did end up eating around the jalapenos if we are being honest, but that honey did add so much to my normal pepperoni pizza. It inspired me to start adding hot honey to my pepperoni pizzas. I know I'm behind the 8 ball on that but whatever. It is what it is.
Thank you, Emmy Squared, for taking me on this journey.

Read moreUPDATE: 10/1/19 Things seem to have gone downhill since my last visit. When I looked back at my earlier photos of the food the pizza seemed much more stingy In terms of toppings for the price. We had the Big Ang which had very little of anything on it. The Nashville chicken Pizza unfortunately had undercooked chicken on it which they were very apologetic about. The manager removed the pizza from the bill and also comped some of the salads and sent out a dessert.
The truffle pizza had a sauce that was very unattractive although it tasted the best of the three. The salads were still good! We loved eggplant parmesan.
OLD REVIEW Pro tip: go to eat pizza between the hours of three and six. Emmy squared was empty at that time. I thought I was not going to enjoy the broccoli salad because it was raw but they need a really nice peanut sauce that brought the whole thing together and killed the chalkiness of the broccoli. We had the pizza with pepperoni and jalapenos that was delicious. We also had the squash Pizza which was also delicious. My only peeve would be that they don't have proper chili flakes. The Korean ones are not really hot so why bother not having the real thing?I guess it's another thing I'll have to carry in...
