There are restaurants, and then there are revelations. Fomo Momo’s new brick-and-mortar on 1st Avenue doesn’t just feed you. It transforms you. This is a portal to the bustling heart of North Indian street food, a place where spices sing, dumplings soar, and every dish feels like a love letter to both tradition and innovation.
Step inside, and you’ll feel it. The air buzzes with energy, the kind you’d expect from a crowded bazaar at sunset. The smell of sizzling soy chaap mingles with laughter and the clink of plates being passed. The space feels alive. It is an homage to the streets of Delhi, yet somehow distinctly its own. It is a symphony of color, aroma, and joy.
The momos are the beating heart of this world, crafted with the kind of precision that borders on the divine. Imagine biting into a butter masala momo so rich and tender it rewires your understanding of comfort food. Or savoring a vegetarian option so bold it leaves even meat-lovers speechless. Every dish feels like a quest reward in a game you never want to stop playing.
But it’s more than food. It’s an experience that connects you to something bigger. The staff greet you like you’ve stepped into their home. The energy is infectious, blending tradition and futurism into something unforgettable.p
Fomo Momo isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a universe of flavor waiting to be explored. Step through....
Read moreHave been looking to have their amazing food for the better part of the year but did not get to go to New Jersey for it! Got take out from the nyc location. Their Makhani sauce is amazing, even though we had it in the momos, in the future probably will do paneer makhani and butter chicken as those def would be crazy good considering this! Appropriately tomatoey and cream. The chicken momos had an amazing filling, just like back in Delhi. The surprise was the paneer momos. Me and my wife who are both die hard momo fans feel the paneer momos were actually better than the ones we have had in Delhi from multiple places. They are spicy which we like just to forewarn. We also tried their Chaamp, the champ itself was soft and creamy and loved the texture and taste. For the car ride we had their chai n masala fries which were perfect for the sub zero weather.
I wish we took photos but did not have the patience for it lol. Will def do next time The only thing is that some dishes travel better than others like the tandoori momos which we both absolutely loved but def I think their taste would be probably much much much better if we had them fresh!
All in all after years in US my momos and Champ search...
Read moreWe came for Momos after having Nepalese momos a couple blocks away. Saw the high rating and figured they must be good at this little shop with pink decor. It’s a small place with only a couple of small tables.
Ordered the Afghani, Achari, and Szechuan momos- these are in order of spicy and Szechuan was the spiciest on their spice chart.
In the photo Afghani is on the left, top right Achari, and bottom is Szechuan. The Szechuan is very different than the other two - more what most people would likely call a dumpling while the other two were more like fried ball’s. The Afghani was good - but Achari, my friend thought it kind of strange taste like a cleaning product. I’m sure it didn’t have that but I had a similar thought after trying it. Maybe these flavors didn’t work with us. I’m giving the restaurant the benefit here. There were other people enjoying the food here. Aside from the Achari momo the other momos were ok. Hope this is a one off and other people love it like the...
